I only wonder what they think when I flash them back with my actual brights. One pickup truck I came up behind let me pass him so he could ride my ass with his brights to “teach me a lesson”. You have more restraint than I do. On the second run with the redeye I would have just went all out and made it my last run of the night. 😅
I love how you still get so much joy out of beating car after car on the track. Great vids!
I love that challenger red eye, dream car for me but still no chance against the plaid 😁
I've been a Jeep guy all my life, but Plaid feels like Daddy. Those are both beautiful cars.
THEM: Wow, my car can keep up with a Tesla!!
Tesla Plaid Channel: (modest laugh) You wish. You're running, I'm just jogging.
Playing with 4 digit reliable, consistent hp!! must be so much fun!!
Love your channel!!!
Andrew proves that buying a plaid makes you king of sandbagging Ha Hah Hah
Me and the wife are loving every minute of this too
in drag mode you can hear the motors cranking at end of the track,.. loves it!
Bent out of shape? Watch again at 3:25 and notice that we are all having fun. Even the other drivers! They all raced willingly and none of them lost by bus lengths.
Any “humiliation” that a viewer may feel is imagined. It is not an accurate characterization of these drivers on this race night.
I love when you start laughing like 1/8 mile
@©®ypto King That rush of unrelenting torque would make even the grumpiest of skeptics giddy if they were in the car ⚡️🚙💨
Is there another track nearby that don't have BS restriction? Change track so we can see it's true potential.
@@johnyc2744 Orlando Speed World seems cool with any speed when I raced there on Sunday
You need to be the first caged Plaid on the internet! Show us what it can really do!
Man... this is sooo much fun!! Just watching these races feels like racing the Plaid in real! My absolute favorite new channel to watch!!
I couldn’t wait for this!!!!! Thank you!!!!
The only Channel I have the Bell Notification on.
Keep those vids coming...
a tesla plaid with a roll cage and a demountable parachute would be so cool. do it!
This is the best. I love this channel! I hope you get to face off against a Rimac Rivera or a Lotus Evjija someday! They are about the only cars that would give you any trouble! (or a top-fuel rail!) :-D Great stuff! One request: maybe find a vibration mount for the GoPro's... at night it gets hard to watch (blurry)
The one dislike is a GTR driver 😂
Enjoying your channel. You are really good at trolling other cars. Lol. Good trick to keep the trunk up so they don’t know you have a Plaid. 😂
👍Unless they look inside at the yoke…

@@TeslaPlaidChannel The Yokes on them. With egg on their face.
@@TeslaPlaidChannel or watch your channel..
Kind of crazy that you can toy with 9 and 10 second cars like that. Electric is changing the game.
‘“Is that all you got?’ That’s so funny. Good race with the Trackhawk.
This is just a slaughter!
I love GTRs and I loved this! That thing was by dream car growing up
You’re a bully on the track, haha i love it!
Nine thousand subs! That jumped quite a lot in the past week.. Great job, well worth it
Thanks! These last couple of weeks have been lots of fun! ⚡️🚙💨
@@TeslaPlaidChannel I see...!
I love GTR's that was a fun race, there are some crazy fast GTR's out there, that one was tame by most standards.
I had a full bolt on gtr with full stock interior and on pump gas. Ran 10.5-10.6 at 133mph all day. This was a not a great FBO gtr
@@thantzar In fairness, this wasn’t his best run. He usually does a mid 10
DAMN, WE MISSED YOUR GREAT VIDEOS....MORE, PLEASE!
Every Friday and Tuesday…
@@TeslaPlaidChannel Tesla needs to update Valet mode and let people set the speed limit all the way up to 140mph, that would solve this problem lol.
Are you charging at the track, or is that thing so good it hauls at any SOC?
No charging is offered at any of my (3) local tracks.
But note: On my “20 Runs” night, during intermission I went over to a nearby Tesla Supercharger. Not because I had to (I was already over 70%), but because there was no reason not to. The RE-prepping of the track allowed time to easily do it.
you could troll even harder if your car projected a line with a laser pointer right in front of their bumper.
Nice! 🤔🎥🤣
Looks like you are loving your Plaid
Plz put and engine sound on your car on a future run
That Challenger was sweet and sounded amazing.
I was smiling the whole time watching this - you’ve got to be an ex-automotive executive getting your revenge for some reason, that mad scientist laugh says it all 😃😂 glad to have found your channel, looking forward to more!
What are the chances Bradenton adds a 220v charger?
chances are probably higher for them adding a 240v charger (since 220v doesn't exist).
@@BrowncoatFairy right? Why do so many people say 110v and 220v? Must be a reason for it. Did it change recently or something?
@@BrowncoatFairy how clever...it's used interchangeably pretty much everywhere.
Your videos are the best promo for telsa
Really enjoying this channel and learning a lot.
Plaid vs Plaid next week? How is this race gonna pan out if we can't run full tilt? I suggest pull out to 330' mark and then go so it's a 17 second at 145 MPH lol.
We raced at Showtime Dragstrip, where they don’t put any restrictions on us…
The race was on Wednesday. 🎥 Hope to edit and post by Tuesday… ⚡️🚙💨

All this racing on one charge?
Less than 3% per 1/4 mile pass. About 1.3% per 1/8 mile pass. Almost always end the session with more than 70% and usually get home with more than 50%…
@@TeslaPlaidChannel shit I never would have thought I’d be interested in owning this machine. Now I’m questioning myself.
What is with the 150mph limit - insurance? The other drivers did not notice you were lifting your feet during the race?
That GTR's 1->2 shift killed its momentum.
Great racing!
I know it looks that way. The bursts that I do in the Tesla make it look like slow shifts by the other car. Lambo and cars last week all looked the same way
No, it looks like that GTR really did have an issue on the 1-2 shift, separate and apart from what you were doing. He ran an 11.0 @ 130 but could have gone mid 10s.
The plaid just keeps going even at lower states of charge. Incredible night of trolling sir...
I was thinking of that Vega when you raced the Monza! That was Tony Frontada who owned that Vega. He had a couple. He did run nitrous but was super sneaky how he hid it and the button to engage it. I raced him a few times in my Camaro and he blew me away.
I like your makavelian laugh at the finish line.😄
It makes you wonder what a Plaid powertrain would do in a properly setup, lightweight race chassis. As much as I hate to say it, this is looking to be the future of performance vehicles. I wonder what the limit on EV’s is and how much further they can go with them currently and in the future. Crazy times we live in…
I’d like half the battery size, frankly, as a Plaid option. Could save 750-850 lbs, as I’ve never needed more than half the current range…
@@TeslaPlaidChannel I'm wondering if the extra weight helps, as far as traction..? A couple of hundred pounds, I could see, but 8 or 9 hundred pounds might present a traction problem.
@@TeslaPlaidChannel you cannot just half the battery. if that was possible, then why not take a tenth of the current battery? or a 100th? halving the battery means halving the voltage and doubling the amperes. so everything gets hotter. the way to go for more performance is actually a bigger battery, more volts with the same amperes or even less.
@@peterkonrad4364 Yes, other changes clearly needed. I mean half the battery pack weight in whatever way makes the most sense. Porsche has a smaller kWh battery, lighter with higher Voltage. It shouldn’t require 100kWh to maintain (or increase) the Plaid’s level of performance.
@@TeslaPlaidChannel interesting question actually. some of the cells have to be in parallel, they can't all be in series. can you get rid of the parallel ones, have voltage and amperage and power the same, and still drive the tesla. will everything work the same, cooling, charging, etc.? someone needs to try that out, like richrebuilds or unpluggedperformance. contact them.
Your trolling the cars sir that awesome
Lol these videos are awesome. Never knew toying with others cars could be a thing
Question for anyone: why would he get in trouble with the track if he goes faster than a 9.9? Can anyone explain?
Thx
This track requires all cars running under 9.9 to have a roll cage. NHRA rules. (Not every dragstrip uses that set of rules, but this one does.)
@@TeslaPlaidChannel ok got it. Thanks for the reply! Awesome channel!
Before I even watch the video I'm going to predict that Tesla model S plaid Won
Kinda like a pro armwrestler who is just playing with challengers, knowing full well he can put them down at will anytime he chooses

It's all about the Fun we all love cars.. I'm not an electric guy but I get it.. It's definitely the future.. I just love the sound of gas engines that's just me. And love the GTR.

🤣
Hilarious how that dude can’t believe you’re not flooring it. Love it!
Haha, these are hilarious. More please!
I did not know the gutted plaid runs 9.0 with light driver. Thanks!
this mean the roaster will have 2 doors and be lighter. I think Dragtimes said the plaid is ~170lbs less then raven.
Love it. Liked, and subscribed!
That poor Redeye driver, thought he was the fastest at the track

Plaid is a cheat code 🤣
Do you need a brake upgrade? Nice racing. :)
The motor is 50% of the brake when it spin backward to recharge the battery.
Thanks for the great videos!
Cool videos, car runs awesome, Only thing it doesnt looks up to par with it's price range, is the front lightning. The headlights do not light much, no width, is there an upgrade for this?
They are actually brighter than most cars’ headlights out there. In all of my Teslas, I almost always get oncoming traffic flash me thinking I have my brights on. I only wonder what they think when I flash them back with my actual brights. One pickup truck I came up behind let me pass him so he could ride my ass with his brights to “teach me a lesson”. I had to ignore him because Im pretty sure he wasn’t going to be civil at any point.
The crazy frame in the S doesnt relinquish you from needing a rollbar?
can you do a video or two with financial advice and planning so we all can buy several new plaids!!!!
I am a fan of this channel! I wish others were smart like you and the people you race and take their cars to the track to see how slow they really are instead using highways and side streets. But as a Tesla owner I do get pleasure in making ICE owners that think their fast, watch the back of my head get small. Stay safe.
If you just show up with less than 30% SOC the car stays in the low 10's
Is there proof of this? As far as I know the Plaid doesn't discriminate based on SOC.
There's a dragy video on TH-cam of a Plaid running 9.5 w/ 40% SOC on the street. It's a 9 second car all day.
It still slows down, like the Raven did, but all my runs this week at Orlando were still in the 9s. Video to follow soon 🎥
how come plaid run 10 sec i dont understand here
@@minnguyen4872 As far as I know the Plaid only slows down to the 10’s if the driver isn’t giving it full power like in this video.
If the track only allows you to go to 145mph. Have you thought about setting the speed limiter in the Tesla to the max? I am not sure how high you can set it but it could help
50-90MPH only for that setting
@@TeslaPlaidChannel if someone at Tesla sees this, can we fix that please? Do it for this man
You know, it seems like the interior over shoulder camera, ifyou mount it slightly loose, perhaps the effect of the acceleration would be easier to "see" (for us).
Great video! So do you plan on putting a cage in the car or just run pedal races? Also can't wait for you to run those other rims/tires that you have.
When the second Plaid arrives later this week, I’ll start shopping cages.👍
We ran the Nittos last week and I hope to post the video tomorrow 🎥
LOL The brake lights multiple times when you lift going down the track might be a tip-off to potential opponents. You might need to install a brake light kill switch... 🤔 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I don't think I've ever seen someone peddle against a modded trackhawk pretty much and just play with him like that lol that is the best ever
Brookes from Dragtimes will be posting Plaid vs Nevera this week, although he was doing 8.5 in the Nevera so...
…so he wasn’t running either car at this NHRA track where they would have required a roll cage (for ETs under 9.9, per their book).
Other tracks (Orlando for one) have other rules, and I was able to run flat out there last week. Video to follow 🎥
I raced my 65 El Camino blueprinted 327 on E Street San Bernardino in the early 70's n never got beat :)
Great content and races! You should have your backup and side camera on to see your competitor on the screen...much easier that way instead of turning your head, imo!
