I have the 2008 version Already The petrol one and I love it man can't even explain the love . It's not like the other non maintained cars , I maintained it like my body or even more than That . I really love it.

I am proud owner of Tata Manza 2010 Diesel. Still going strong with over 2 Lakh Kms done. I can bet Tata cars are robust unlike the Japanese and Korean cars.
Indica was not designed in India but by IDEA Itlay. It was the first car with completely independent suspension system, none of the four tyres were hooked with the others as seen in other cars.It was built for active safety, economy and was cheaper when compared with other cars. Though initially the car has some tweaks, but folks at Tata improved their product and by 2002, it was zero defective product. I still drive 2000 model, made at Pune plant and enjoy the drive of indigenous engine, which had fewer sensors and no complaint engine with a good economy of 22kmpl in city and 26kmpl on highway. I had a maruti 2004 make in my stable which I sold way earlier to make way for tigor xzo. The ride quality is far better than even of today's hatchbacks

I still drive indica DLS to date and it's still the same reliable and frugal car, still gives efficiency of 25. Some issues but drives amazing smooth . Love it

We had bought a second hand indica's top model...that car serve us through thick and thin days of our life....We had driven it around 2lakh kms while the previous owner had around 60k km !
One of the best thing about that car was that engine...man what a engine that was !We never ever had done a proper service of the car,But that car still kept working restlessly 😢.

Guys the basic reasons were
1) High Price but less features (in UK) if the price of the car had been set same or near to Indian price in UK this car could have been the best
2) We all know the attitude UK people towards Indian especially in 20-30 years ago
3) Market Competition
4) Price was high there because the car was manufactured in Indian then imported and then changes were done there and therefore dramatically causing a vast increase in the price
1st 3rd and 4th point is genuine but racism in buying cars? i don't think so that the car failed because of racism people don't really care about racism except for korea mahindra utility vehicles are quite famous among americans also tata and mahindra are doing good in west and relations between UK and india are more friendlier than ever now after modi govt coz our govt is now right wing unlike before and also UK people love indian things especially indian food so instead of talking about useless points we should talk about what can we do to compete with american,japanese and european brands

I had Tata Indica V2 petrol 2002 model....it's silencer pipe always rusted even if we took care of it....one day after driving it like 200 kms smoke started comming out of the engine(coolent was full)....My fufaji bought the Hyundai Santro in 2003 and it's stillq running till now without any mechanical problems and breakdowns unlike indica...I hope upcoming tata cars do not face any problems like this.

I am proud owner of Tata Indica DLG TDI 2006..... driven 2.20lakh kms ....... Still company fitted engine, chilled AC and engine is working amazing never gives me problem..... I drive my car above 100kmph on highways ....very stable, smooth engine sounding...... My another vehicle 2016 Tata Indigo Tdi driven around 90,000kms..... Not a single issue in my vehicles ......
