Great video! I seem to have an issue tho. After creating the sequence and press play I noticed there seems to be a delay between the object and the mask. I've tried multiple times making sure that the mask stays right on the edge of the object but is not working. Do you happen to know why this is happening? I don't see it happening in your video. P.S. I figured it out and as it turns out you can't use easy ease with this technique.

When I create the mask it doesn't do anything to the text at all and nothing happens!
New editor here! Why make this in AE rather than premier? Sorry if this is a dumb question.
After Effects usually is faster and more efficient at this kind of stuff. Premiere is not yet optimized for most effects stuff, however you can do some stuff in there, it usually doesn't go as smooh.
Rotobrush would save you a heck of time doing this.
