Capitalist..ok…notice dudes like this are always vague about their “businesses”? He a fckin consultant for people with money who wanna move. Guys like this are always landlords or consultants trying to sell you something. They never produce anything. He’s put out tons of vids about why you should leave the US, why? Because he want you to pay him $ to “help” you leave.

I've got no problem with that as a business. His information is helpful to me (I've been given travelogue-type info about places I've otherwise never heard of) even though I'm not among his potential clients. Capitalism is finding a need and filling it. And good on him for not swallowing American 'exceptionalism' hook, line and sinker. No place is perfect and the US, having re-elected a known criminal, is a failed state and a global danger.

A lot of Americans are fed up with the politics and culture of their home country. They have the financial security to leave but simply don't have a clue were to go or how to go about it. My personal experiences with a variety of countries was my key knowledge on leaving. It's like any thing you want to "fix" and you have little to no experience with you hire some one to do it for you.

So, just ignore what's happening in the US, especially under Trump? If I want advice for leaving the country, I will ask someone who has done it successfully. Duh! If one source for leaving is too expensive, then I'll look for another source I can afford. It's simple.

    • @miklin6203
      @miklin6203 4 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

He is offering a service, so what. You can try to figure it out by yourself, what takes an excessive amount of time and effort and on the end moving a business to another country. If successfully, it always implicates the use of lawyers and some local consultants. In a multipolar world, the US isn't cutting it anymore for several reasons.

  • @krakken-

America's golden age was when it had a healthy middle class, wasn't ruled by oligarchs, and invested in itself. That time was 1930s - 1980s. Most Americans who were alive remember that fondly. And that was the time that people who were most successful paid their fair share of taxes on that success. Because their success was built upon the investments America made in itself.
Since the 1980s, the people who are most successful (as a long time successul tech employee, with lots of stock options, I'll even include myself in this group) no longer are taxed commesurate to that success. That is, America is still able to generate a lot of wealth based on past investments in education, roads, infrastructure, safety, health, ..., but those who capture that wealth, increasingly through long term capital gains which is taxed at EVEN LOWER rates than labor tax rates, are no longer paying on the environment that created that wealth. Because of unfunded tax cut after unfunded tax cut.
So, America is declining. Everyone sees that. On the left, on the right, and anti-political. When a country stops investing in itself and its people, it will decline. When people who are successul off of past investments, and refuse to invest for future success, the society will decline. With $36T in debt accumulated from unfunded tax cuts, it is nearly impossilbe that the US will return to a state where it invests in itself again.
If people who have made their wealth off of the past investments in society then refuse to invest in the future success of society, that society will decline. It is a given. And a self-reinforcing prophecy, because people not investing makes society less productive, then more people leave, taking their wealth with them without a care to the future of society.
Eventually, something will break. It is already breaking in most western countries, as people take their wealth and move elsewhere instead of investing in the future success of the country in which they made their wealth.

Re: the "city" vibe. I started out living in the suburbs and I was pretty happy, had my car in the garage so I didn't have to scrape the windows when I drove to Safeway. Then as part of my downsizing to move to a nicer climate I moved into a mixed-use apartment where I could walk across the street to groceries, vision care, restaurants, a drug store and a gas station and that was eye-opening for me. I loved the convenience. I no longer want to live in the suburbs, I want to live in a neighbourhood where I can just walk to everything I need. Preferably in a place where I am statistically unlikely to get stabbed.

    • @michellem3879
      @michellem3879 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +19

I grew up in a suburb then spent 25 years in a rural area (nearest store was 5 miles away). I now live in a suburb but a mile from a mall and the retail that usual surrounds them. I can walk to get groceries, coffee, the bookstore, etc. I love it - reminds me a being able to bike around my hometown as a teen. My car broke down right at Christmas and I only had to rely on someone to take me somewhere 2x. Once to clear up business in my old city and the other for lunch with my siblings closer to their home. If I'd still been in the rural area, I would have had to rely 100% on someone else to taxi me around. As much as I loved rural living, this cemented I will never again live where I can't walk to some kind of store.

I’m already a US citizen living in Mexico with a business and permanent residency and after 20 years here, yes, with high taxes, but that’s not the point, I grow weary of being in one place. I want a new land, new language, new tastes and smells, new friendly people. I yearn to grow past the limits that result by being in one place for too long. Being an expat is not everyone, but I need to keep experiencing life through movement and travel to discover ever more. I dream of a new property, new house, new business in a new land, adding to my existing portfolio.

They are among the most courteous people I ever met along 25 years as an expatriate. By the end of my contract, I was even considering buying some real estate there, then came the GFC of 2009 and unfortunately our contract was discontinued. Great memories though, especially related to the kind treatment by the company's staff, at the hotels/resorts we lived, and even in hospitals (once I got sick, the airline put me in a royal hospital and I was treated as if I were a member of the royal family...that was amazing). I am not a hot weather creature by any means, but do miss those times... 😎🍹

I'm glad you addressed the tax issue. Americans truly believe they pay the lowest taxes than any Country. I' been told by several people that taxes are higher in other Countries because they offer Universal Heathcare, they iverninvest in Social Welfare programs or the Other Countries invest in better living. In my opinion, Americas lack of investment and extremly high lack of contrabution to a better population is the worse thing about living here.
Sandwich that with the new Political affiliation has to take over every part of someones life. You must ve red every day no exceptions . I really used to enjoy having strong Political feelings and healthy debates around Election time then returning to compromising and living the rest of the time.
The Trans. Issues are so overblown by certain Political parties. The reason is; the younger generation has chosen this as their rebellion point. We had punk or Valley girls in my rebellion times. I've witnessed gangstas, goths Emos. Modern parents are not so easy to shock and piss off. But turning something that can cool on its own into Presidential mandates is stupid. Allow people to experience different. But no. It tarnishes the only live political at all times.
I gave friends from College that live in other Countries. I asked what they felt about America. The biggest answer was - Americans take kindness for weakness. Americans believe, Weakness needs to be destroyed.
My College Professor taught me that the American way is - Make money, don't get caught. Put both those Phrases together and kind people are just Victims to rip off. In America money and things mean way more than family and friends.
Wrap that all together and that leaves acountability and accepting change when something is wrong . Nothing wrong with America is Americans fault. Case in point: our eons long war on drugs. It's never our fault. Always some other conutry that we need to smack and blame. No matter how much a sufferer wants to get clean, there is always a 6 month min. Waiting list. Gotta want it but wait to get it and understand its the addicts fault not the crappy health care. Why is the healthcare crappy? Tge darn migrants of course. Healthy sober people are never profitable.
Our current blame target is Mexico. Those darned Mexican citizens steal all the benifits from Americans. No, Americas benifits just suck badly. No poor person is getting rich off 335 per month when the average rent for a studio is 30000 for rent alone. Thats if they get approved because it's practically imposible. We tryly abuse the kess fortunate and blame them or another country. We don't care about the truth. We funell tons of our money to Billionares because they ask. Them we are disgusted by people suffering and in need
I am on Social Security. Supposidly Living off the Government. A program I worked 2 and 3 jobs to pay into. It was never a donation to the Government. Every ither day, there is a new threat or terrifying article about this Program. It makes continuous steady income. Poloticians just want the money. So they terrify people with fear mongering. All this and they want me to deducaye my whole life to being red or blue for our finger pointing Government? When there is a demand for something there will always be a supplier. Fix the demand and the supply is worthless. Solve the drig problem. Make people feel wanted. Get rid of the stupid punitive systems.
Ya, Im ranting to a stranger because I have noone now and I cant live like this anymore. I want to be myself not what say I am. Plus Im totally iver abusing that desperatly beed help and worshiping leaders who just steal from everyone.

Not a place I’ll live as my permanent home but to live a few years to experience the culture, food and architecture while exploring rest of Europe. I’m 54 and all my 4 kids are adults so I’m experiencing the little things we sometimes take for granted. No place is perfect and same goes to Italy. I’m in the North and I find it much better than the South, thats just me. However long term I’ll definitely be in Malaysia my home country. I prefer the warm weather 365 days, organised country and great food, great healthcare, free from most natural disasters, good tax rates, freedom to live in a mixed culture and closer to family of course. However for now I’m experiencing Europe for awhile. If you’re from US, you might like Italy a lot 🤗- Nikki

I choose to stay and be part of the solution to fix things, yeah I'm an idealist.
Values wise I'm a pragmatic Libertarian, so no fan of excess government.
My problem with leaving the US is I'm a gun owner.
    It's not just the guns
It's what they symbolize to me.
If a government doesn't recognize my right to own guns( handguns, assault weapons) for self defense, then it doesn't recognize my right to life.
Yes other countries are "safer", that said, I would rather be free.
I'm old, so in the last years of my life, I will help make America free.
    I'll retire when I'm dead.

Guns do not equal freedom, and trust me I own my share of guns. It’s really weird trying to follow that logic you presented. I get it though, it’s the idealism. Hey if you “love” America that much, so be it. You have that right. Sorry to say you will die having not fixed the U.S. it is broken beyond repair and was flawed from its beginning. It had many chances to do so, but its lack of desire to simply be honest about what it was (and IS) is ultimately the death of it, and that’s the sad brutal truth about it.

You seem to be thinking of like...I don't know...Los Angeles, California? The U.S. is gigantic and I would say the vast majority of places to live are very safe, affordable, and people are friendly. I agree that the health insurance problem needs to be fixed, particularly since the government started to subsidize it, but the actual healthcare (though expensive) is very good. I have nothing against the US...and I have nothing against moving. It's all good, though things aren't always so black and white.

The one thing that would tempt me to leave the U.S. now after traveling to 14 countries is the availability of Starlink satellite internet. Specifically the Starlink mini that is easily portable. Expensive to use in the U.S. but in Central America it's cheaper to purchase and $35 a month for unlimited internet. Don't have to search out where good internet can be found, and can be up and running immediately no matter where you are except for a few countries that haven't signed on yet. I know that some want to get immersed in local culture, learn the language, etc but I found while traveling it's still good to have American tv in English. I want to watch U.S. sports and movies. I'm still American and it's just as important to me as being around others of the same language and culture is to Hispanic immigrants in the States.

You project a serious victim attitude. And that's all you'll be if you live in that headspace.
The message from this channel, is that it's a simple CHOICE - to stay within, or exit from - your circumstances.
But you don't want to change yourself & surroundings - you just want to bleat, rant & complain about YOUR choices & circumstances.
"Hate". "White men". "Misogyny". You're in the driver's seat, and can choose personal, physical, emotional, financial Liberty - at any time - but that requires YOU, to change. For YOU, to accept responsibility & accountability for yourself & circumstances.
You pop in to a channel encouraging locational & financial freedom, and all you're capable of, is regurgitating your own choices & misery. Definitely the wrong room to bring your drama & victimhood - but you knew that, it's what you do, everywhere you go. But there's good news for victimhood mentality - YOU, can change from victim, to success - you just need to want it, and apply discipline.
There's great, non USA options accessible to virtually everyone - but no country welcomes victimhood. If you truly want a life, free from the evils you ierceive - GO GET IT, AND STOP WITH THE SNIVELLING VICTIMHOOD. But that takes trust in oneself's abilities, and acceptance of challenges. Folks with your current mentality, rarely change, but it is possible. Those of a healthy mindset, encourage you to shed your self imposed shackles & misery, and adopt the message & philosophy of this channel. Self reliance & determination to have the life you want.
But if you come to a channel with a very consistent message & presentation, and you start bleating about racism, misogyny & white men -; you're revealing the massive chip on your shoulder - and that's not welcome ANYWHERE, in ANY. Culture or society. You could have just as easily invited information & input that would assist YOU, in a journey to find a lifestyle for YOU, free from the things you don't want in your life. But no..... Misogyny! White men! Racism! ...is the drum you CHOOSE to beat. Nobody here sympathizes with your perceptions, but most, I suspect, would encourage you to actually travel, and begin to see the rest of the world, and the opportunities available - to a person without a victim mentality.
