I think the thrift stores want the same price as resellers get, but the problem here is that resellers sell niche items for discerning clientele and thrift stores are a catch all. If the thrift stores don’t leave potential margins for resellers then the resellers will stop purchasing and the prices will have to plummet in the thrift stores because they will not be able to cope with the continuing donations and backlog of unsellable items at high prices.
Hi, Yvonne and Chris. You're so brave to get up and drive so early. Your purchases are wonderful! The Tiffany lampes are beautiful, the mirrors and wonderful furniture too. You shopped well.
My mother in law has the two matching Tiffany lamps in a different color with two light bulbs. She asked if we want them and that is my husband’s decision.
The pheasants in the GW would probably be good sellers. One set needed your magic but the other set was good. I found a large Meakin iron stone platter with tons of craving for $1.99 at a GW about 45 minutes from house. Their prices are still really good, but my local GW the prices are crazy high and out of control!😜
That little crock (honey pot I believe) with a bear on it is a Salmon Falls piece, made here in Dover, NH. The artist on that was Helen Berg. I almost screamed out loud when you picked it up. Her pieces are highly sought after by collectors. Be still my heart! 🤩
Be still my ❤, that goat cart is sooo cute! Love the mirrors, the barn. Oh I love it all! Yall have great eyes for the best things!! Oh and that scale is gorgeous, both of them!
I just can’t believe the prices at the thrift stores. I’m really curious what my local stores are like. I seriously need to take a trip to hit the thrift stores. My personal favorites are garage sales and auctions.
I don’t shop my local Goodwill is because it’s nasty and dirty but I shop them near my daughter’s house. I do shop at 2 thrift stores that benefits fostering or adopting cats and dogs.
Our Goodwills have gotten so expensive that I now go to second hand shops that the profit goes to a specific cause. Boys and girls homes, animal shelters, etc.. Goodwills is no longer a a non-profit organization. That’s sad.
I use lids to do lil scenes, or decoupage etc. I bursted out laughing out loud when I saw the home interiors thing 😂😂. You did get some yummy goodies! 😊❤
Hi Chris, good to see ya. Love it when you two are showing your finds. That little bluish green scale would look so good in my kitchen. I love it.. So many good things you guys got man, really good. Okay, ready for some makeovers. God Bless, Hugs, Rebekah
We’ve not gone into a Goodwill or any chain thrift store for nearly two years. The prices in our area are nearly at or above Walmart prices. We try to hit yard sales and a few local thrift stores, but we work weekends so it’s hard to get to some yard sales.
I hit goodwill once or twice a week. Other thrift shops every two weeks and auction once a month. But I’m still learning. Have to fight the urge to buy things because I like them. I either have to buy things to resell, or use in my home decor. Not just because they are awesome
Hello. Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge. I love to learn. I can't wait to see what you all bought at the huge auction you mentioned. Not dumb to go early to sales. The early bird catches the worm! Have a great week!
Could that punched tin box be a vintage ice bucket? I’m not even going to go there with the whole pricing thing. It’s all been said before, but what I will say is that your goodwill‘s have a really nice variety of pieces. The ones where I live here in California have almost no hard goods at all, and what they do have is mostly Target or Hobby Lobby type things. That being said, we do have a lot of antique and vintage shops in my little coastal town and their prices a lot of times are way better than Goodwill or other thrift stores. I have talked to a few of the vendors at these antique stores and they are happy if they can double their money, and even if they break even. Because their heart is in finding these special pieces a home and not letting them end up in a landfill somewhere. I love that. These old pieces have survived for so long, and it just kills me that they end up thrown out, and that people would prefer to buy A cheap piece of glass or vase or pottery instead of going for the vintage and antique. Always so fun to shop along with you.
Oh my goodness what a fantastic haul. From Goodwill, antique store n on to an auction. Wonderful finds. Loving the Lawyers library bookcase(that’s what I call them) I have one just like the one Chris found except mine has lead glass on each section n a drawer on the bottom. When you were in Goodwill I saw those mirrors. Oh how I wish I was there to get them but happy to see you bought them. I love bevel mirrors n especially if the frames are oak. I’m kinda a hoarder for them. So many wonderful items you both found. Looking forward to seeing what you’ll be doing with a few of the makeovers. ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
Oh! Was that blue and white lady figurine a Yadro (spelling?) I am SUPER excited to see your auction hall! This was a fun video! I’ve been searching for lucite candles in clear! Ack! Had to edit! The auction 😳 what absolute AMAZING stuff! LOVE the goaT cart 😂
I love to thrift at my nearest goodwill, but what you are showing here is neat and organized. The ones I frequent are so packed with stuff, all bagged, is crazy.
Nice haul guys! Fellow antiquer here and I enjoyed your video as usual. I am going to try refurbishing some things that aren't worth much or are damaged and see what happens. Thrift stores have really gotten pricy and yard sales aren't far behind now. It's still the thrill of the hunt though! Cheers.
You can use the lids to make small vignette like you make in boxes and other great finds. Using transfers, paint, molds, and smalls(we know you have plenty of those)😂
Absolute great haul! Love everything! Really nice cabinet! Love your tins! I collected tins many yesrs ago...donated them to Goodwill along with my collection of salt& pepper shakers ..d/ t lack of space in Uhaul .😢.I love the molds! And the big ole frog!! Love'em! The Cobalt Blue bottle is most definitely an eye catcher for me! Ive always loved old bottles , and next to Blue...Blue is my favorite color! 😊Thank youins again for sharing! We do love and look forward to the upcoming videos! ❤God Bless!
So many goodies! It's hard to find these goodies here. I also haven't gone to auctions but think that would be fun! You guys do great together when finding things. I'm always curious what you spend vs what you sell for...that's the business part of me I need to develop better... just getting things for a good price.
I use tins alot for Christmas arrangements and I love the tins that have scences on the lids because I set it upright at the back of the space in the tin where my arrangement is going to go and tailor the elements of the arrangement to highlight the scene on the tin
I am curious what the triangular shape (pie server) object is with all the tools Chris was sharing. I’ve never seen a tool such as that. Yvonne…WHO are these rules police that think we are gonna fall in line with their thinking? I thrift anywhere I think I will find things but I’m not a flipper. I don’t do too much Goodwill thrifting any longer due to there pricing structure. I usually hit our local Habitat Restore on a regular basis but I’m thrifting less and less due to all my Hunny’s health issues. I have to say that I just knew that candelabra was gonna be in your thrift haul. You and Home Interiors seem to go hand in hand!!! I think if I had to choose one thing you picked up it would have to be the beveled glass rectangular mirror because I love anything with beveled glass. But I’d have a hard time leaving those miniature village pieces behind as well. I collect them and it surprised me that you ran across some. Thanks as always for sharing your haul because that barrister unit was worth seeing and I’m wondering if Chris is going to flip or hoard this piece. The only thing missing was Tater and Peach, they are such a staple now that if one of those dear sweet fur babies don’t make an appearance it’s almost like you’ve shut us out of their world!!!:):):)
I was looking at a online auction here in Anchorage Alaska and you would pass out from all the swung glass vases Cheaper than what they sell for down there. You can find bargains in so many places as a person just needs to look.. happy days to you.....😊😊😊
We have a Christian thrift stop here a few blocks away. Since all of the workers are volunteers, the prices are super low. It’s the only place I go and if you have a certain item or group, they will save them for me
I cannot find much jadite that isn’t ridiculous priced. I want to collect that. You found some great pieces! And those harp mirrors! Wow! This entire video was sensory overload. 😅. The little wire cloche candle holder would look cute for Christmas with either a small tree, a Santa or snowman figurine with a greenery ring around it, but I would paint it lighter so it could be used year round. We are a small town and just got a Goodwill a year ago and you will not pay any less than $2 for an item and that is on a 50% off day (unless it’s silverware). I don’t shop there, and our Salvation Army is the same. That goat wagon is AMAZING! I don’t know what I would do with one, but I still want one. 😂 We just bought from an online auction and I managed to get some good deals. I got a couple of antique baby buggies for $5.50/pr. and they’re a little rough, but the frames are solid. No one bid on them. My husband can’t imagine what I would want them for but I have an idea, so we’ll see if I can make it come to reality.
it does not matter when you go. they don't stay at night and put stuff out and they don't put stuff out before they open. my goodwills we have 4 they put stuff out all day long
I have done second hand shops, garage sales, my whole married life, I hardly ever buy something new. Now that my kids are married and gone I tend to buy myself new things .
One has to shop at only thrift stores to be considered "thrifted"? That is ridiculous. Antique stores, to me, are also a place to thrift. Regardless of where you shop it is thrifted if it is not your items!! Some people just like to instigate trouble. Early?? Wow!! Not for me...I would not be a good one for auction sales. Thanks for sharing!
I have heard the reason you can’t find things at goodwill that are considered good finds anymore is because they have started pulling them out instead of putting on the floor and then sell for the company itself.:. Salvation Army doesn’t do that and I have found more at my salvation army and they have sales daily as well…
I never go to Goodwill. They are far to expensive. I prefer charity/church thrift stores. We have a good number in our area. Sometimes you can haggle prices. Salvation Army went out of business when Covid hit.
I understand that charity shops (thrift stores) want to make money but their items are donated and selling at a reasonable price giving resellers a chance for a profit will benefit everyone if they find something genuinely antique they could send it to auction but I'm sure they will be left with the pieces they price too high 😊
I have found our Goodwill to be too expensive. We have better luck at a local thrift stores. We have found their prices to be so much better. My husband and I go to several local and not so local antique malls for fun. We find our best stuff at the malls.
Unfortunately thrift stores have overhead and employees and prices are going up everywhere. I wish they could keep their prices low but if they did they would have less and less for their charity.
👋🏻 I use lids off peanuts and other food containers as drip trays under plants.
I used to go only to Goodwill but now I only do auctions and estate sales.
My mother in law has the two matching Tiffany lamps in a different color with two light bulbs. She asked if we want them and that is my husband’s decision.
Lucky ❤
so funny I have NEVER found a home interiors candle holder like you find EVER.
I always pick up the wooden dishes. They sell well for me. Usually all I do is apply oil and make it shine again.

I’ve been following you for a short time and would love to see your booth in a future video.
Amazing haul! You found some wonderful treasures!
It is wonderful to see a husband that supports and is obviously proud of his wife. So special.
I thought my goodwill was bad…..those prices are even more! Wow!
You should see Tennessee Goodwill prices....! You'd think you're in an Antique Store for sure! You just can't beat yardsales.
Be still my ❤, that goat cart is sooo cute! Love the mirrors, the barn. Oh I love it all! Yall have great eyes for the best things!! Oh and that scale is gorgeous, both of them!
Awesome finds! Love your determination!❤
I just can’t believe the prices at the thrift stores. I’m really curious what my local stores are like. I seriously need to take a trip to hit the thrift stores. My personal favorites are garage sales and auctions.
❤❤❤❤❤

Score on the goat cart!🎉 Lots of wonderful goodies you guys got!🎉
Now they need to get a goat!🐐
Show me some iron stone. I don’t have any and I’m wanting to plunder for some.
I use lids to do lil scenes, or decoupage etc. I bursted out laughing out loud when I saw the home interiors thing 😂😂. You did get some yummy goodies! 😊❤
I love that white clock with the Mirror
Hi Chris, good to see ya. Love it when you two are showing your finds. That little bluish green scale would look so good in my kitchen. I love it.. So many good things you guys got man, really good. Okay, ready for some makeovers. God Bless, Hugs, Rebekah
I thrift 1 or 2 times per week at Goodwill, thrift stores, antique malls, yard sales , outdoor markets and the Goodwill bins. Love it all!
What a trooper to be there so early! The Tiffany lamps are beautiful. I've never seen a goat cart before! Now I gotta have one. 😊
Love the lamps
I love the newer Amish crock!! I collect those!
We’ve not gone into a Goodwill or any chain thrift store for nearly two years. The prices in our area are nearly at or above Walmart prices. We try to hit yard sales and a few local thrift stores, but we work weekends so it’s hard to get to some yard sales.
Great finds. Our good will doesn't have much. One thrift store I used to l9ve has gotten really expensive. I'm not a reseller just a shopper.
Love watching you two and your hauls!
That lamp would be great for a Grow light❤😊 I love that place
Oh i want the lamps😊
Oh my golly! That wagon
Beautiful lamps!!
WOW!!!!
The cage candle thing looks like it needs some sweet little birdies living in it.
I hit goodwill once or twice a week. Other thrift shops every two weeks and auction once a month. But I’m still learning. Have to fight the urge to buy things because I like them. I either have to buy things to resell, or use in my home decor. Not just because they are awesome
The jadeite swirl bowl! My mother had one.

Omgosh you skipped over it but that Turkey Dripping Jug is fabulous!!
The dog handles on the BBP pottery items likely are deerhounds or foxhounds (based on earlier, similar Wedgwood items I’ve seen and have.) ;-)
Oh my goodness what a fantastic haul. From Goodwill, antique store n on to an auction. Wonderful finds. I’m not familiar with Yadro.. I’ve heard people ( auctioneers call it by name though)
I love to thrift at my nearest goodwill, but what you are showing here is neat and organized. The ones I frequent are so packed with stuff, all bagged, is crazy.
yeah antique malls can be a little crazy and definitely overloaded. Yea go back again and commit to one row each visit. :)

I thrift for myself and I thrift at antique stores as well as estate sales and thrift shops.
I don’t go to good will, I do yard sells
Lots of great stuff

One floor at a time at the antique store
I have done second hand shops, garage sales, my whole married life, I hardly ever buy something new. Now that my kids are married and gone I tend to buy myself new things .
I stopped at that standing lamp. Put a grow light bulb in it and a plant under it to showcase it?
#replay ❤
Some thrift store ate ridiculous they get most stuff for free and now their price are sky rocketing

I absolutely love that Tiffany white lamp. It would go perfectly in my front bedroom. How much $$ are you selling it for??
Omgosh, Great finds!! I absolutely love that Blue pitcher!! How much $$ ?
Did you sell all of the monarch items? There’s a couple that I’m really interested in if they are still available.

I get frustated at the prices at both of these stores I understand they do outreach but holy coweverything is donated The prices have tripled xo

you passed a old yelloware english dog bowl.
Which.. doesn’t sell for me.. nor the cat one🫤

Yvonne, do your Goodwill stores require you to bring your own bags now? Our local one does😮
So far we do not. They bag … and usually wrap too
I had a pie bird and I dropped it and broke it 😑
Hello, sorry, goodwill no interesing for my because NO WRITE PURCHASE PRICE , SORRY !!! Tank you for vidéo...Mireille in France
