What do you guys think of the M1, M2 Layout and designs? Which one do you guys have?
I have almost exactly the same problem with my M1 Air. Did you just replace that chip with a new chip, or just re-solder the same chip onto the motherboard?
Great video. I may be dealing with something like in on my macbook and I am wondering if the cost of the repair would be worth it. Would you consider something like this to be a major or expensive repair?

Hi! Nice work and fix. Any idea what is causing this actual problem in USB-C ports? If I just charge and dont use macbook air m1 while charging is there smaller chance to get that chip failed?
And finally mine dead in 1.5 years.. so unreliable..

Hey beast blood this is crazy.
Always check the plug. My wall port plug was causing issues charging. If the plug is hot to touch get a new apple plug. Aftermarket parts are the cause of most issues. Do that before opening any SOC device.
Where to buy the chip ?
Don't buy m1 Mac why ? I have also buy the same and now regrating beacause after 5 months mac died and from the first day I am facing Static Charges which is pretty anoying and the customer care said it is accepted behavier and the repair cost you all know !!!!!
