Even preserved under a statue you can see how fast everything deteriorates. Add thousands of years on top of that and we are missing a lot of everyday life in the past.

It’s about how it’s remembered and not if it’s remembered. Why would anyone want history to be forgotten. Its constantly being brought up as a reminder. Tearing down the statue is a process of remembering and revisiting history by the way, otherwise it wouldn’t have been torn down. Put it in a book and tell an accurate story. The same people who cry about not forgetting history, have a problem of critical race theory being taught in schools. That’s about the history of race in this country, it where the confederacy is tied to race by the enslavement of Black people. Where a discussion about in past history, is a discussion about history itself. African-American history is not just african american history, its American history.
