Lost swan given a helping hand

- At this time of year, young swans are being chased off by their parents to make way for the next generation. Sometimes these youngsters end up landing somewhere they can't take off from and need a helping hand to get back to the skies!
This young mute swan had been found walking down a main road before a member of the public corralled it into a garden. Swans need room to get into the air and this one had nowhere to go.
Simon set off to help and quickly had it contained. It was only a short drive to the nearest body of water and the swan was soon back where it belonged :)

@@emeraldqueen1994 I live in Victoria BC which is a decent sized city, and we have a ton of deer just strolling around, munching on whatever they want.

I'm from tulsa oklahoma! I'm so sad that we don't have some of these beautiful animals here!! I would love to have little headhogs and badgers running around. We have a few Fox here and there and coyotes but that's it you rarely see them 😞 enjoy your beautiful animals and keep up the awesome work you do!! Lots of best wishes from oklahoma!! USA

I love the way he talks to the animals, totally expecting them to listen and comply without argument. Funny thing is - they always seem to listen to him. And sometimes to do just as requested. Always makes me smile.

Although I was worried about the discolouration of the swan but hopefully it will sort itself out.
The swan is just dirty. I do observe eagles and there is one pair that are constantly dirty and have discolored beaks and feathers for years now but they are healthy.
This swan was a juvenile, so still had the remains of its adolescent plumage :)

i just like how simon walks over to the swan , gently grabs it , picks it up and puts it into the swan carry all and it is purring all the way. seems quite content in the swan carry all.

Swans need quite a run up before they can take off. This one couldn't get enough speed in the garden!
