    Absolute gold, Jim! I would have given my left nut to have a strength coach in high school half as passionate as you. Thank you so much for sharing your seminar. These kids ought to be so grateful.

    So much knowledge. Despite having read 5/3/1 so easy to stereotype Wendler. The gymnastics bit is gold

    Jim talks about adding 5lbs to the training max every three weeks. Does he do any other testing to reset the training max? Do the athletes ever work to 5RM or 5+ sets like 5/3/1?

      my guess is it varies during season and off-season. I assume in winter they would perform max day and use that as an indicator

    • @Goon.29
      @Goon.29 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Why would athletes need to know their 5RM? As long as numbers are improving there is no need to test their RM

    My son at 160 can jump over a 60 inches hurdle.

    50-75 reps on a single barbell lift in a day? So like doing a 5x5 workout three times? That’s a lot, no?

    • @maximummomo8210
      @maximummomo8210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The loading is pretty light, he mentions that players don't lift over 225 even tho they can rep out 275 fairly easily. It would probably look like 8x6 at a 60% intensity

      I guess this must include all the warmups even with the empty bar. And the 75 must include a BBB variation I’ll bet.

    Does anyone know if he has a segment on what recovery looked like for this group? I feel like he got rushed when he got to the "Don't Kill Them" section.

    Does he train them three days a week and I’m assuming year round? Is he talking high school kids or jr high?

    sounds like to me (no denying the sheer try and push and hard work the team did) some of these kids were usind Mk677 and HGH the way they grew 185 for 3 to 215 for 21+ ??? okkkkk

      @HooDRidEWhiteY 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You've never seen a kid go from untrained to somewhat trained over a summer, during an insane growth window, while eating for growth then. Jim even said the kid from your example gained too much weight. This means he was in a prime situation for strength gains.
      Edited to say: there's a chance you be trolling and I fell for it. Either way cheers 🍻

      @@HooDRidEWhiteY so because he has a difference in opinion than yourself or he has observations of which offend your ideals, he must be trolling?

      @@shitpants9602 My post didn't reference my ideals. He and I are pontificating and bullshitting about hypothetical kids. My point still stands. The example hes giving is not only possible but common amongst that demographic. Thanks for checking in on us, and strong username to troll police ratio bro.
