The movie went on to bring in $777 million at the box office alone. It brought in even more millions in streaming, Blu-ray/DVD sales, and Merch. So for Pattison to ultimately end up with about $1 million out of a Billion dollar endeavor, yeah he got peanuts. Firemen, Cops, and teachers, are not working jobs that bring in Billions of dollars of revenue so their payscale isn't comparable.
If there was we would have heard more actresses for the role and there's only 3 actress that's rumored for playing the role and one looks like she doesn't want the role so I doubt it plus someone in the comments said she probably saw the Fandom and said nope I'm good my mental health is more important then dealing with fans stuff witch Is funny and I wouldn't doubt it if that's the case

Dude they don't negotiate contracts until the actor or actress is selected by the director. That's what took so long for James to confirm Nick as Lex. Also they get residuals for the rest of their lives and their families lives eveytime the movie is shown on TV. Could it be that she actually didn't get an invitation?

This is why you need multiple projects in acting if you have an issue with the pay it's all about looking at it as an investment as each year goes by your pay will increase the longer you stick with it.

Studios really need to stop contracting actors to insane ramping pay scales, everyone is replaceable. If the movie is good, no one will bat an eye that you replaced Terrance Howard with Don Cheadle. Keep the budget down, hire actors that want work, and justify every advertising dime, because half of the production budget for marketing is insane.

When deciding if you are going to take a "loss leader" role you have to consider the chances of it paying out. For "the Chrises" making junk for the first few movies was OK because they lucked out and the MCU was huge for them and they made bank on the later movies. The DCU has been mostly failure. If you are going to take a low salary for a few films with the hope that later films are big, you have to be confident there will be future films. I don't blame actors for not being willing to invest in a property with an awful track record.

Even though I do not care about hollywood, I think that casting is important. you need to see them in the actual role. No matter how skilled an actor, does not mean you can do all roles. There are many accomplished impressionist and yet there are some people, and even accents that they cannot get. This is coming from someone who does not care about actors generally. They get paid for reading someone else's lines and acting like someone else. Many seem to then live vicariously through that character as if they now have the same virtues, attributes and intelligence. so to get paid so much for something, in my opinion, for something so so so not worth while for them is a win win.
