Oh wow. Thanks for the video! I remember going on this back in 92 and 93. We use to go a couple time's a year. I was around 10 years old and one thing you will always remember is the eiree sounds and that damp fusty smell! Great ride for it's time. And great memories!

This was honestly such a good ride! I remember going on it for the first time we didn’t even know what it was at first we just went in and realised it was a ride then come the drop and we must of been on it at least 10 times that day again such a shame they closed it down
No way this has been closed down? Ill never visit again, thats my childhood memories gone! I love the pirate chanting at 0:17 i will forget how afraid that made me as a kid.
I went on it in April and thought it wasn't as good as I remember. I take it by what you are saying that the ride is not operating as it should in my video ?

Matt Creek Totally agree Matt, It's a great ride, I was there last weekend and unfortunately it was closed which was a little disappointing. Hopefully they are sorting it out and it will be up and running and back to it's best in no time ! ;-)
I went on this in July there was only about 100 people I. The park it was on a Tuesday and the guy said since there is hardly any one on the ride 3 people in the boat some of the animatronics were switched of to save power and most of the lights were of the ones that were in is all the one on instill u get to the pirate under the bridge but the rest were on after that oh and we got. Stuck on it 3rd time round cause there was 5 of my friends and we all got scowled at the back so I woudent go down the hill lol
@@timothysmith1265 Well it has been closed for a very long time now, And to answer your question not everything was working in your video which would normally be there I went to Drayton Manor other week, And a member of staff said that it will not re-open so will not be another Dark water ride but will be another Dark Ride

I loved this, thank you for the upload. You don't get a lot of rides like this now where they used imagination and nice art, history and music.

Is this ride anything similar to valhalla at Blackpool pleasure beach?
It's pretty similar as far as it's a boat ride through various displays but I think Valhalla is a little more extreme ! :-)

well they closed it for like a year to do renovations , but to me they have just taken the broken stuff out completely and fixed nothing :(
This ride seems a bit like Pirates Of The Caribbean, hopefully though it'll reopen soon rather than close completely.

I honestly don't know if everything was working when I filmed this version. I always remembered it as being better than this ! :-(
