  • Hello eveyone, its been a while. In this video, I share my opinion on why I believe that transcribing music is an important skill to have as a musician, especially if you're studying modern music. Check it out!
Also I'm trying out something new for my videos. Thanks to Panzoid website for the great FREE intro video. The background music is my own "doodling" on cubase. Let me know if you like it, maybe I can share it for free on my channel!

Wsalam. Thanks for your comment. Yes, it will be a challenge when you are just starting out. But, like I said in the video, in time, it becomes easier. Dont get me wrong, I still struggle to hear certain chords today, and I still make mistakes when I transcribe. Its not about being perfect, but more about progress. Best of luck to u!

Transcribing in traditional way (which I refer to write on piece of paper) is a good way for learning process. But, in case I'm being paid to transcribe (by my friend, especially just to fulfill the criteria for forum performance) & required to finish within deadline they given, I need to choose the fast way which I load the audio file into DAW (FL Studio) then play it & draw the note into piano roll on the go. After I've done that, I export the MIDI file into Sibelius and then done

I get paid to transcribe all the time. I still do it the the traditional way. Not only is it a good learning process, you become better at it as u gain experience. Use technology only as a tool to assist you, but strengthen your ears by doing a little hard work to gain and improve ur skills as a musician and become more legitimate and genuine.
