Will those dals really cook well? ..I'm so used to seeing pressure cooking of the dals..this looks like a nice way to me. Anyways I'm newly into cooking so anything is good learning when it comes from experts like you. I'll try this now for lunch.

Sanjaya Garu all your recipes are extremely delicious. It would be wonderful if you gave the quantities of ingredients either by cups or tablespoon. If given in grams it is difficult to measure the ingredients at home. Hope you will be able to do this. Thanks.

    look what I found:
A pot without a lid may make the vegetables more colorful but they have less vitamins in them because the vitamins can go into the air in the steam. It also takes longer to cook vegetables without a lid on them and the longer it takes vegetables to cook the more vitamins can escape from the vegetable.

should you not cover green vegetables with a lid? I am scared all the vitamins will just escape! I know you mentioned... but i would preferably have my vitamins as opposed to the green color of the veg... tell me Sir!

these channa dhal , blackgram, massor dhal just sauteed would go hard on your teeth. Better precook them after choking in water for about 20 minutes, in such case avoid urad dhal (blackgraqm). If you still prefer this way then add some coarsely ground pepper.
