Use to play for years, I was JB22 of III/Jabostaffle. HTC kind of made a big mistake when they brought in the early war timeframe arenas. It split up a very small community and it wasn't the same since then. Wonderful game though.

I played this game back in the early 2000s, from about 2001 until 2006. Had to quit it. I was spending every waking moment in the game. A true addiction. I still think about going back every now and then, but I'm in my mid 70s now. Didn't make a very good fighter pilot back then, imagine I would be even worse now. I enjoyed the tank warfare, big bombers, and dropping troops to capture a base.
Haha just for fun I searched out old AH and first video is rudeboi. Flew with him a bunch back in the day. KI-84 fun. Heck I think we goofed around in C205s as well. Miss this game and always think about coming back to it. Slopy2nds

this game is so old school, remember when it was warbirds. loved the mossy for its versatility. nothing like having a british squad-mate say "tally ho".

Just came across this video on the realism is so dope. Pulling G’s and the vision getting affected by it. Makes you really consider every dive and turn you have to take while still trying to get a good look at the opposing plane. Mind blown!

I feel like a dik because I cannot remember his name, but the 38 was his baby and he could smoke anyone in it. He was one of the best players in the game and even bought and sent me a new flight stick setup when mine crapped out and I didnt have any extra money. Was a great guy, as were most of the players I had the privilege of flying with or against. and the flight characteristics in this game, you literally had to learn the hard way that you could not pull something like a 3 out of a steep dive cuz you were going to be a full on Lawn Dart lol.
Of all the games I have ever played, I so badly miss playing Aces High. I played from around 2008-2011 and after that, due to personal issues and then life stuff, I have not played since. I remember Rud3boi and Bruv and "The Few" as well as many I cannot remember at the moment. When I played, I had a couple of different names early on, but some of you may remember me as WMGambit when I was a member of their Squadron, then when I created my Squadron "The 1st Special Service Force" I went by the name ReDDevil or ReDevil2. I loved the game because it wasnt like all the other games where you hop in and in 1 day your shooting down planes and bombing guys on the ground with your controller. Sure, you could use the keyboard for all of it if you were really that good. But with Flight stick (I never could afford rudder pedals lol), you literally had to learn how to fly each and every aircraft differently because the game was that realistic! I still remember times when I would be 1-1 in the MA with a baddie that you have possibly flew against before or maybe not, but for 45 minutes we maneuvered and out-maneuvered one another until finally one of us made that fatal error or just got that split second upper hand and one of you went down in flames! And it wasnt some 12 yo or 45 yo talking trash over the mic each and everytime...it was my friend for a great fight and then on to whatever else was going on. Or the Missions where you had 50 B24s or Lanc's or 17's being escorted by 100+ Fighters on a Bombing mission to level Bremen or Wilhelmshaven and as you approached you were bounced by ME-109's and FW-190's and the chaos would ensue but you were so amped and felt like you were there and had to defend those buffs. Even the Carrier Missions and Base taking were a blast. I really do miss playing and if it hasnt been ruined by now in some way, I will return after all settles down. I hope that all my old pals are still flying high and doing well. And I am sure some may have passed on since then, and RIP to those who have left. But if were still here talking about it 10 years and more after last playing it, then it is still must be worth it! Hope to see all of you guys sometime in the near future!
IL-2 1946, although it has significantly less graphical fidelity, is quite a good too. And BAT mod introduces tons of content to it, and over 1,500 aircraft from before WW1 up to end of Cold War

Merlins 8 player h2h no ho always busy and always kept me up way past sleepy time as Im in UK and most of the people i flew with were US based, Almost got divorced over it a few times hehe.

Can you please tell Aces High to correct the scoring method as this scoring method is wrong? At least I think it will be improved considerably if it becomes a score like a bomber. Since you are a Congress Prime, you have a large voice in Aces High, so if you make a proposal, Aces High may understand and correct it. See that everything is O.K.
This game is a sloppy game that ignores historical data. The most prominent of these is the P47M which has a maximum speed of 761 km / h. but cannot catch up with the Tu2S in this game. IL2 and War Thunder gamers will spontaneous laughter at this P47M.
Historically the P-47M and N where made to fly at extreme high altitude. So there Wasp engine where tuned for that Alt. It does not surprise me that a mid alt bomber like a TU-2 will out run the P-47 at 15k and below. Now make that TU fly at above 22k see if the P-47 does not catch it.
This game is for bombers. I only fly fighter planes, but even if I drop more than 10 planes a day, Your ranking will drop. Looking at the scores of the top ranking players, there are many bomber pilots and few fighter pilots. It is displayed first in the clipboard ranking without needing the overall ranking. This game is crap.
This game rankings system requires you to play all aspect of the game. From ground vehicle to ground and ship gunner to bombers plus fighter attack and fighters. It is not an ideal ranking system for sure. When I did play this game I never worried about my rank. I just flew for the fun of it.

KI-84 was one of my favorite planes...that and the P-47D. Also got very good in the NIK
