It was so fun! Such a beautiful area and definitely unique compared to the other cities we’ve been to so far. 😁

Thank you for an excellent video! Very informative.
What are your thoughts about Expat seniors living in France? As retired educators (we helped a new school open in Lviv - Aug-Dec), we are exploring Poland (Dec-Jan), Estonia (Feb), and possibly France.
Paris is beautiful and walkable. Nice too looks beautiful and welcoming. But, Nantes looks amazing too.
We seek a walkable, affordable, and comfortable place to call home. My wife Cindy has MS, so calm is a required component. I grew up in Los Angeles, working & driving 24/7, so the European pace is very attractive.
    Thank you. Dean & Cindy

      Thank you!
Europe in general is pretty friendly to Americans traveling or living abroad. So there are tons of good choices. And most places I’ve been in Europe I’ve been able to get by with only speaking English. We are not really “big city” people (we come from a small town in the Midwest), so I would want to avoid places like Paris or London. There is a lot to do in the big cities so they are fun to visit, but too many people for me and it’s far more expensive.
If you are looking for a place to retire to, then I would definitely take the country’s healthcare situation into account. Most are far cheaper that the US (or free) but I would make sure they have reliable care options wherever you end up.
In France, the south is my favorite (Nantes was a close second) the countryside and towns in the south are beautiful!
If it were me (and it may be someday, lol) I would be looking into Greece. It’s beautiful there, and there are lots of islands to explore. And it says pretty warm even in the winter. And I believe the cost of living there is a bit lower as well.

Thank you! Nice Looks beautiful. It reminds me of Redondo Beach in Southern California. Nantes and Lille look interesting too. I love the sharing of visual information via TH-cam!! Thank you!!@@thatadventurecouple

It's not a flashy instagram hotspot, but it's a very nice city. It just depends on what you are looking for. 🤷‍♂️

@@thatadventurecouple Don’t get me wrong, I love France. Driven throughout 8 times now. It’s just there are so many really interesting places in France to visit. Nantes just does not appeal.
