You already know the hassle in using the front and side window covers. I decided to go with the CLIMA-SHADE™ Showtime Curtain from Canyon Adventure Vans. Easy install and when not in use it tucks nicely between the drivers/passenger seat and door jam and held in place with a snap strap. Kind of pricey, but much much easier to use....and you don't have to open the doors!
Well, thanks... but... we are usually much longer-winded than these. But our goal for 2021 is to create shorter informative content and quieter, more peaceful scenery content.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Cold at the beach. Think going to SW - Arizona. Then north to Utah, Co, WY - if border opens - on to Alaska! Leaving mid-March. Come on - lets go!
Hi Owen, Lynn and Maggie! I live this video on you saying the things you love about the Revel. I’m going to watch the other video later on what you don’t like about it. Yours is like Jim and Cynthia’s. They are nice van campers or class Bs. Thank you so much for this video. Stay safe.
Thanks for watching this one... funny, more folks wanted to watch and hear about the things we don’t like... kind of like talk us out of it. You never know. Jim actually warned us that that would be the case. Ours does not have to be as warm as theirs. Geez... -30 below is crazy cold.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle yes that is crazy cold 30 below. I’m going to watch more of your videos today while I’m off work because I had to have test done and I’m grawgy from the stuff they give you to put out for a while. I’m going to watch after I’m more alert. I’ll talk to you later. Stay safe.
It was a big draw for us too. Safety features are as advertised and work great and after a while you wonder how you lived without them. Thanks for reaching out to us.
We love the location of water and lithium in the 2021 even though it makes the garage a little smaller. Nice review and we are glad you love the Revel. Big hugs to the three of you ❤️
Thanks for your honest review. You guys are great. I agree with everything you’ve mentioned. But I stay with my Sprinter 170 extended version. The Revel is too claustrophobic for me.
I’m definitely thinking about van living and the lithium features are getting me excited. I am also looking at a truck camper that can have lithium and other great features. It’s going to be a hard decision because my wife is always worried about room for our girl and friends. Great video guys.❤️🇨🇦❤️ Cheers!!!
It is a hard decision. This van is definitely not more than a two person van. Good luck finding what works for you. Thanks for always watching and sharing your comments.
I wonder why four wheel drive is so fashionable suddenly. I look forward to seeing it in use. It seems like an expensive addition never used. I’m curious.
Great point! We have already used it several times in sand, overland situations and in our video coming up this Sunday in some pretty sketchy snowy mountainside situations. For us it’s not something we hope to use every day, but it’s a safety feature that if needed it’s there. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching.
I love that table! I'm trying to figure out how I could do that with my ERA. I have a cabinet door that opens to the outside so I can't have the table swing up like that. I'm sure I can find cleats that would support a table. Safe travels!
Enjoyed your like and dislike videos. In one video you mentioned NOT liking corner beds. How do you like the Revel bed. Is it easier to get up in the middle of the night?
Okay... some questions... What is the actual ground clearance of the Revel? What model A/C do you have? Is cereal soup? Why or why not? Is part of the A/C on the roof or is it all inside the van? Toilet paper... over or under? How is storage going for you? Is it less than the Travato was, and if so, does that matter? If peanut butter wasn’t called peanut butter, what would it be called? Where is Maggie sleeping now? Who do you know that really reminds you of a character in a TV show or movie? How is the insulation in the Revel (especially compared to the Travato)? What word is spelled incorrectly in every single dictionary? I might have added a few questions that just don't need answering ( 😆 ) but that's what you get for talking to me! I'll do anything for a laugh! Be seeing you!

We are not sure about how long the ac will work on the batteries as we have not tested that out yet. The comment below is correct. The batteries are charged by solar or when we are driving.
Not sure... other than the perfect van! 😂. The wrap-around windows creates a sense of openness that’s hard to beat and the twin beds are comfy without having to crawl over someone when you have to go to the bathroom in the Travato. So, a 21-foot Travato layout with the beef and 4x4 capability of the Mercedes would be almost perfect. But with the outside table, the quiet a/c... see... it gets to be impossible.
We’ve added some to the back doors but so far staying warm in colder weather has not been a problem. I do hate the thoughts of taking everything apart to do that but at least we have a good resource if we want to do that. I don’t think we will add anymore at this time.
Haha! Yes, it’s crazy isn’t it? And... we didn’t pay MSRP and hope nobody else is either. The table is one of those things that makes you smile. Last year’s model had a table... with a pole... with a screw on the bottom to adjust for level. With that design you just don’t use it as much. But when you can have a table under the awning in 5 seconds you appreciate that. Maybe not $190k worth of appreciate it but you do appreciate it.
Both are great daily drivers for sure. Revel is easier to park due to size. Revel’s cassette toilet means you can use it everyday and empty when you get back home. Due to safety features of the Revel we “feel” safer. We used the Travato as a daily driver some but use the Revel, much, much more.

It’s the little things like hot water that make roughing it so much better 😉 and peace of mind; PRICELESS 👍 👍
Totally agree with both. Peach of mind is my biggest one.
Jim first at 8am then Owen at 9am - what a great way to start Sunday morning!!
Thanks for spending part of your Sunday morning with us. It is appreciated.

Good video, need better audio
Thanks, we appreciate your feedback. We will work on the audio.
Thank you for sharing this video . Always nice to hear the good things about a camper van.

Like with any RV there are good and bad things. It’s all about compromise. We do feel the good outweighs the bad. Thanks for watching.
Thanks so much for your videos. You are definitely helping me to make up my mind about purchasing a Revel.
It’s all about compromise... there are always going to be things you love and don’t love. Good luck making your purchase.
I am definitely hooked on the Revel mostly because of the safety features. Stay save and thanks for the info.

You two are awesome. I love how you mix in the videos of the real world uses. I’ve never seen a video with zero thumbs down, I hope it stays that way
We do get thumbs down... but we appreciate your comment.

I have a small good quality rubber squeegee that would work well to dry the front window while using your defrost fan.
That’s a great idea, thanks for sharing.
Is 6 foot 4 inches to tall for a Revel?

Enjoyed your like and dislike videos. In one video you mentioned NOT liking corner beds. How do you like the Revel bed. Is it easier to get up in the middle of the night?
Yes, we like it much better than a corner bed setup. The bed is easy to get in and out of, especially with a small step stool that we keep down.

How long can you run the roof ac on lithium batteries? And how do you charge the lithium batteries while boondocking?
the solar or by starting the engine....
We are not sure about how long the ac will work on the batteries as we have not tested that out yet. The comment below is correct. The batteries are charged by solar or when we are driving.
There’s a TH-cam video that addresses that.
