I can't imagine how it's like for the people in the north, suddenly this strange American girl comes and understands and speaks Norwegian... I would spend so much time just asking you 1000 questions...

you norwegian is just getting better and better. amazing how much u have learned in this short amount of time. And a hard dialect as well

yeah..you learned quickly, but actually in the north the melody if sentences are quite close to english, especially american english. Maybe not the same, but the closest you will find in Norway. I think you would find the south eastern dialects in Norway more challenging with the sentence melody.

What an awesome trip! I am so happy that you get to see and do a lot of things! Værøy looks amazing! The helecopter ride is sponsored by about $ 1000 a head by the gov. Did you travel onboard the M/S Polarlys? You are young, you can manage one night without sleep and no shower. Great vlog as always Ms. B! Keep up the good work! Be safe!

It's normal for Norwegian kids to be very independent from a young age. Many move away from their parents already at 15/16 so that they can go to a high school of their own choice. Free education and economic support from the Norwegian state makes this possible without to much interference from parents.
