9:38 I had a brainfart there saying something like not released on any system. Wanted to say that this Arcade version was so much different than the one I played back in the day on my Sega system.
Golden Axe: Return of Death Adder is an amazing Beat Em Up! Obviously a Megadrive version wouldn't of done it justice. Im amazed it hasn't come out on modern consoles. They could do a full Golden Axe Collection and also include Sega Saturn's Golden Axe: The Duel fighting game. That would fkn Rock!
@@WickedGamerCollector Yeah Streets of Rage is the better series tbh. I'm in the UK and we imported a Megadrive from Japan shortly after release. It came with Space Harrier II. Golden Axe was our second game and we were amazed. Not as amazed as when Thunder Force III came through our letter box though! Emulation is great, be we were there man! ❤
They did have Rad Mobile on this and it played alright, but yes it would be nice if they made another one of these, and for the racing games you could buy a steering wheel much like the full sized arcade stick to play the racing games. Be awesome to play OutRun in that way!
I picked this up along with the Astro city V (which is vertical games), and the Taito egret mini, and the three of them sit on a shelf in my room full of Arcade1ups (I could pull them down to play them, but they are on the shelf and can power on for decor too). These are all nifty little machines and I am glad to have them.
I imported this thing when it came out back in 2020, I got the controllers for it and even the Full sized Arcade Fight Stick, it's an amazing piece of kit and I have no regrets. Honestly the Arcade stick enhances this unit and makes it so much better when playing via TV. Love it! The only ommision I'd have love to have had would have been AfterBurner but nevermind haha. Glad you like the unit, it's probs the best minicade out now along with the Taito Egret II mini. The Astro City Mini V was cool too!
Thanks for this nice review. I'm also great Sega fan and my love with Sega started as well with Mega Drive 2. I'm planning to buy this Astro City and can't wait. Great video as always 😀
It's a nice built console, and it's also compatible with the 3 and 6 button controllers from the sega mini consoles (totally recommended if you already have those consoles)
This is so awesome! My sister is quite literally in Japan right now and she just picked one of these up for me! I can't wait to play it. Fun Fact- Golden Axe: The Return of Death Adder never released on a home console. This is the very first time we get to play it without sailing the high seas. It should have seen a Sega Saturn release as it came on the System 32 board. The STV Titan (Saturn in the arcades) was quite a bit more powerful so it would have been an easy transition.
I do like these mini arcade machines but with Sega's version I wish that they would have added a SD card that you could add your own games and play those games also.
You can load retroarch on these, even though it is in a wonky state and I am not sure much development is being done. I'd much advice to get the Egret II mini. Also wonky retroarch, but correct screen size and "transforming" screen.
I really wanted one of these when they came out i just couldn't afford it unfortunately. Fun fact: The Astro City Mini is STILL the only official home version of Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder, which is a crying shame.
Great little arcade machine with hdmi support. Would have been totally awesome if Outrun and Powerdrift were included, though it's good to see Shinobi there, even if it's missing the Monroe pictures and Spiderman colors on level 2.
I have this and the V model and they’re both pretty awesome but you can’t get OEM controllers anymore as Sega didn’t make enough. Stores don’t sell them even tho they still offer the consoles & reseller prices are crazy high. Test compatibility with different controllers?
Been tempted by one of these but I've heard the input lag is atrocious. Might get one eventually to sit on the shelf as an ornament but probably not to play.
Golden Axe is on the following systems: Arcade, Sega Genesis, Mega-CD, Game Gear, Master System, Sega Mega-Play, GameTap, IBM PC, Amiga, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, PC Engine CD, WonderSwan, ZX Spectrum, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Virtual Console, iOS, Android, Microsoft Windows
I mean this version I play (arcade version) was totally different compared to the 16-bit versions. And arcade stick is cool not paying 200+ for that 😂=
This is golden 4 I think...if I am not mistaken it's called revenge of death adder....a never released before game that was arcade only too!! So he's right the Sega genesis or mega drive never got this part of golden axe too

@@danieledwards1490 I liked Golden Axe only was always more of a SOR2 fan in the end 😳

They should make one of these with a steering wheel for all of their classic racing games.
Yeah that would be awesome.

Nice to see Sega still pumping out consoles.
Now ... Dreamcast 2 😄

Cool, you joined the party, better late than never. Nice video.

Don't worry, I always press the wrong button first, too.
Nice little machine 🙏🏽
He sticks the sand in the sword?? Andersom meneer 😂😂😂😂 10:25
LOL, yeah that sounded kinda weird.. men I had couple of good brainfarts that recording I can tell you that 😂
37 titles... still freaking cool👍

beef cake turns into wolfie lol
I want this for Alien Syndrome so bad. I dont care about the other games. The arcade alien syndrome should be rereleased. Love that game.
I got this for £70 from amazon France. Absolutely love it. Don't think it's worth the £130 but for £70, an absolute bargain. Love it
System looks amazing !

I love mine!
Does Astro City Mini Control support X input?
Looks good fun.
maaaan i just want one of these that plays dungeon and dragons series arcade games
Ramadan come I need good Retro console for game
Is it an official saga console
Yes
@@mintsauce82 OMG
I think they missed the mark , not including a slot in back to use the original game cartridges !
No - it's for arcade games, there would be no cartridges to insert.
Does it have Daytona USA , Outrun , Afterburner 2, Virtua Racer? No? Not interested!
First😅

Nice handheld with a cable on it, i'll pass.
Rater lame that the controller isn't wireless
Yeah sure, GOLDEN AXE was never released on the Mega Drive...and you don´t need the Arcade stick. You lost with these two arguments every real gamer.
Golden Axe is on the following systems:
Arcade, Sega Genesis, Mega-CD, Game Gear, Master System, Sega Mega-Play, GameTap, IBM PC, Amiga, Atari ST, Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, PC Engine CD, WonderSwan, ZX Spectrum, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Virtual Console, iOS, Android, Microsoft Windows
