@@DFWsCars, I have to disagree. The H2 was a rolling abortion from the minute it hit dealership showroom floors. I worked at a Hummer dealership when the first ones came out, and we went through more transmissions, rear ends, transfer cases, and front differentials than you might even believe. After I left that job, it literally took me a year to forget the part number for the transmissions cause we replaced so many. The driver's view (as even mentioned in the video) as laughable, and the most common buyer/drivers were small soccer moms who couldn't see shit out of the tiny windows. GM should be ashamed that they did this to the previously proud Hummer name.

I have a soft spot for the H2. It was such a distinctive car back in the day (especially in that yellow) and I wouldn't mind owning one someday in the future (maybe with some resto-mods).

Back in 2003 the Hummer H2 with 26" Chrome Spinner DUB rims, Lamborghini Doors, and a trunk full of Huge Subwoofers with TV screens and PlayStation 2 was the COOLEST along with the Cadillac Escalade, playing 50 Cent In Da Club !!! I used to play Need For Speed Underground 2 everyday, brings back good memories from 16 years ago, Thank you Hoovie!

Having driven Hummers in the Army, I have to admit the H2 was a lot more practical for civilian use than a "civilianized" Hummer. While it wasn't a "real" Hummer, it still managed to capture the spirit of the original in a pretty good package. I really loved the look of the yellow H2s. It's too bad it was the victim of GM's demise.

As someone who has also owned multiple 70s land yachts this is not the only vehicle in his fleet that is inches away from single digit mpg. I'm actually surprised it does this poorly. It's not as if this exact same 6.0 wasn't available on GMs other SUVs, it just wasn't the default option. You cannot tout 4.8 or 5.3 mpgs if they aren't available.

I had one. I loved it. I miss it. One of the best vehicles I've ever owned, and WAY more reliable than my current 750Li, that's always throwing up check engine lights.

Everyone who gives a bad review of the H2 always comments about its poor 0-60. This truck wasnt designed to take to the race track people. If you want that then you should have bought a Mustang. The Hummer H2 is an off road machine. Just TH-cam search Hummer H2 off road and mudding and you will see how awesome it is and how it beats most pick up trucks in tug of war battles. You can take it through 4 ft of water, 3 ft of snow, and pull a house off its foundation but people wanna point out how slow it is at 0-60. Oh yeah, have I mentioned that gas is now just a little over $2.00 a gallon. Whens the last time you saw a Ferrari drop a boat in the water at the lake but I dont see you complaining about that. I dont like the 08 09 dash.
My dad bought an H2 back in ‘03 too and we kept it until 2013. Even being 10 years old and having 80k miles it sold on Craigslist for 17.5k. The only thing we had to replace was the rear air shocks since they dry rotted over the years. The water on the carpet is probably from the seals from the orange lights on the roof, that happened to ours too.
I agree these will probably be a collectors item in a few years, the 2008/09’s go for a ton of money still on eBay.
Used to have a silverado with the 6.0 vortec. Cut the exhaust off, you will have a GREAT time.
Water on carpet = heater core leak/windshield leak
Wet carpet and smell of glycol = heater core leak = bad. Wet carpet and no smell of glycol = windshield leak (= not so bad) or heater leak and someone hasn't bothered to put antifreeze in the cooling system (= worse case)
