This is very off topic but I love how your name is in Mandarin mine is in Japanese or yours is in Japanese too...the second character looks like Mandarin the first looks like Japanese the third the last character Japanese but then with " like what?

For real it was so unnecessary. I felt like i wasn't even watching the same characters anymore too. Buzz is not that dumb, Woody is supposed to be loyal. The only good thing is the Gabby gabby side story which made me tear up a little

I finally felt representation with Brave and she is the only princess to have her native accent so that movie has a place in my heart being Celtic and all.
It doesn’t get enough love I love it it is so great to see a scottish movie with Scottish actors and set in scotland unlike braveheart who is filmed in Ireland and stares a kiwi

That was definitely a nice touch, but I honestly thought the best part of Brave was the connection between Merida and her Eleanor and how they’re bond paved the way for fixing the problems of their old ways.

Very boring film.
Soul. Just Soul. It is the best Pixar film. Where Up peaks in the begining and then becomes a bodymovie instead, Soul is so emotionel and thoughtprovoking from start to finish - just a masterpiece, that deserved a gallaopening premiere in cinima instead of direct release on Disney+
Soul had a similar aproach to Up. Both characters had a ephifany about life happens meanwhile you are missing it

The focus of Toy Story 4 was Woody and Bo getting back together. It never was anything to do with the rest of the gang. Toy Story 4 is 2nd on my list behind Finding Nemo. The ending had me in tears.

Karlye Cutcher I think that’s what sets her apart from the Disney princesses. She’s the only one that did not sing in her own movie. She’s also the first one not to have a romantic love interest.

OKAY FOLKS, The good dinosaur has its flaws, i get it okay, BUT it's incredibly original as this story of how dinosaur evolved and started to live like humans do (before humans could reach those skills), it's so creative! There are moments where you laugh until you belly hurt and some moments where you truly feel for Arlo, I mean, the kid who is a bit "weaker" than the rest of the family and wants to surprise his family... it's so relatable. And also the friendship between him and Spot, it's not just like a friendship with a pet, it's more tan that bc Spot feels and understands a lot. Also the ending will always make me cry, more than Up i think. For The good dinosaur I will always have a soft spot (ahaha spot get it?) for it
I’m not that mad, I kinda didn’t like toy story 4 either. Mostly cuz of the ending, buzz and woody were supposed to be best buddies for ever, and they kinda separated them...
They also had to radically alter the characters to make the ending happen.
And Woody would never just up and ditch his kid either. His loyalty means much more than that
Woody: “Besides, when it all ends, I’ll have good old Buzz Lightyear by my side. To infinity and beyond.”

Yeah seriously, I thought that separating these two was really discouraging like I know it's supposed to teach you that sometimes you have to move on, but woody basically gave up one of his best qualities being loyal to his kid. and bo peep could have just joined woody and buzz instead but no she had to be the reason that woody and buzz split and they probably will never see each other again.
Understandable. The way I took it was that Bonnie got bored with Woody, so him staying with Bonnie wouldn’t really make much of a difference. With Andy, he had a special bond and could see that Andy cared about him and the gang a lot, and Andy would certainly miss them all and keep them in his heart. Woody had a bond with Bonnie, but like most kids, she just changed and started to like Forky more. Nothing wrong with that, but it meant that Woody’s duty to Bonnie was done. He cares a lot about Buzz, but it’s likely that if he stayed he would have just been stuck in the closet instead of helping toys get the chance to have a kid like he did. And that’s just life I guess. Sometimes, best friends do separate, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still connect and remember each other.
I understand the hate toward Toy Story 4, but Bo Peep was always my favorite, and I liked that we found out what happened to her.
Also, Forky is my spirit animal.

Up, Ratatouille, and WALL-E are all worthy of S tier. WALL-E is a beautiful masterpiece. Finding Nemo was my favorite Pixar movie when I was little, watched it every night.

I agree almost completely with this! Great to see Monsters Uni and Good Dinosaur get a little love, and I'm glad you knocked Toy Story 4 down a couple of pegs. My only change would be to switch Inside Out with The Incredibles; yes, I'm one of the Brad Bird stans, I think this and The Iron Giant are glorious (but I appreciate the love for Ratatouille, too, it deserves it). Also, I have to wonder if you've seen any Ghibli films...

Toy story 2 is definitely my favorite toy story films. I remember seeing the third movie but it just didn't do the same thing what toy story 2 and first did to me.

I really love A Bug's Life. Grew up watching it, and it is still one of my favorites as an adult. It's so underrated!
Not gonna lie but I can't say that Bug's Life is one of my favorites because there's not really much going on in the movie

Here, here! I ADORE Pete Doctor's work! I love the whole square-to-circle ratio of characters he has in his films! If you notice, most of his films have that square character matched with a circle like character. It's amazing!! :D
Here's a theory to explain Buzz's low IQ in Toy Story 4: TheFanGirl suggested that maybe when that TV fell on him in Toy Story 3 he was hurt so badly that when he reset his mind went back to how life was when he first came to life. He still has all his memories in tact, but his brain is that of a three old because of his head trauma.

For Toy Story 4, I did really like it. The idea they were going for about lost toys and how there could be more to a toy’s life after a kid has grown up or leaves them was interesting and added more depth to the story. Yeah, maybe the gang wasn’t there as much, but I didn’t really feel like I needed them all to be there every part of the movie. With Buzz, I thought it was more of an honest misunderstanding. He had a few silly, kind of himbo moments in the other movies like the first movie with him believing he was a real space ranger and Spanish Buzz in the third (that was not his fault, but yeah), so it wasn’t a horrible stretch to have him mistake a voice box as possibly being like a conscience. They are still toys, so I guess he connected something abstract like a conscience to something more tangible. Overall, I do appreciate the story and the perspective they added to the world.
I get where you're coming from but I really disagree with your take on Buzz. In the first movie, he had legitimate reasons to believe Andy's room was a planet given the information he had (which is reinforced in the second film when we learn that every Buzz stubbornly abides by their protocol, something which the original Buzz remembers with some shame) and he's overall presented as very competent and aware of his surroundings (given that he thought he was a spaceman in hostile territory), and the Spanish thing wasn't his fault like you said (and even then he was still very competent). In all Toy Story films, he's presented as very opportunistic and able to come up with smart ways to get on top, so I honestly don't believe for a second that almost every meaningful decision he makes is triggered by his voice box (heck, compare every other film, where he instantly jumps in to help his friends when they're in danger, to this one, where he needs his voice box to tell him to rescue Woody). Glad you liked the film, but still a very VERY sore spot for me.

@@daynial2240 Oops, completely missed this comment. Those are some good points. Yeah, I get why it would be a sore spot for sure. He definitely is competent and determined to help out his friends, and the voice box thing could be scrapped completely.

Brian: I agree. Wall E and Ratatouille are two of my favorite films, and I also agree that the Good Dinosaur is a little better than most people make it out to be. The animation alone is Gorgeous!
Wall-E isn't one of my favorites because it kinda had a sad story line and I got tired while watching it but Ratatouille was a major success for me to appreciate
Great list! Some of your rankings are super surprising! For me, my top rankings would be:
1: Toy Story 2 (I love this film: it’s the only one from the Toy Story franchise that I truly love).
2: Onward (absolutely incredible movie: the story of the sibling relationship is something I relate to so much).
3: Wall-E (a masterpiece. That’s all that needs to be said).
4: Monsters Inc (very nostalgic for me, and I find this to be the funniest Pixar movie).
5: Finding Nemo (super emotional, great characters, and I’ve always been in love with the ocean so that’s a bonus point too).
Sadly Ratatouille is forgotten, but it’s my favorite movie of all time!!! Like when Anton Ego gives his review!! A masterpiece!!!

Why does everyone hate Cars 2. Like I get that it’s an even more crazy concept about living cars that are spies. But honestly I don’t care about the concept and I don’t think Mater is bad in it either. And also haven’t all Pixar films had ludicrous concepts come on. I agree. The reason TS4 was great is because it was the film that concluded woodys story. TS3 was the finale of his time with Andy, but TS4 was him doing what he needed to do which was move on. Obviously people hated the fact that he seperated from his friends to be with Bo. But to me it made perfect sense
The Incredibles is and will always be my favorite! Incredibles 2 was a pretty good movie as well.

My top five favourite Pixar films:
1. incredibles (I love everything about it)
2. Coco (the message ‘follow your dreams, but don’t leave your family behind’ is perfect)
3. Walle (uses the ‘show don’t tell’ technique the best and does romance amazingly)
4. Toy story 2 (nostalgia, but also amazing story telling
5. Ratatouille (makes me appreciate food and amazing message ‘anyone can be great)
*My bottom five are:*
18. Finding dory (good first watch, but any other time I watch it I get bored, unoriginal)
19. cars 3 (extremely boring and unoriginal, doesn’t bring anything new)
20. The good dinosaur (amazing visuals, but the story is a little bland, and the main characters annoying)
21. A bugs life (never liked it as a kid, the character animation disturbed me, and when I watch it now the animation just takes me out of the film too much to actually enjoy it, good story, but I struggle watching it)
22. Cars 2 (obviously, made just for the money)
I love Incredibles. Definitely “s” tier for me. I love superheroes and has so many legendary quotes.

The Incredibles should have been F tier. I don't care if I get hate for it. But, for me and my ENTIRE FAMILY (a toddler, two children, parents, and even grandparents), it was just such a bad movie. Yes, it's very quotable. But that's pretty much the only "good" thing that came out of it. Otherwise, once my family and I finished watching the movie, we were all like "Did we really waste money on a movie about a fat retired hero going through a midlife crisis?". It was just so boring and not at all the awesome film we were expecting. Major let down.
Ratatouille is one of the most underrated movies I can think of, it’s so good. How it’s not a huge hit is beyond me...

I honestly really love Brave. I had a lot of mother daughter tensions growing up and it's nice to see them talk about it in that movie.
Yeah, that's what Brian said too and I agree with you both. It's just that a lot of us thought the bear stuff dragged it down, at least that's the main criticism I hear from the film.

Do you think you could do a ranking of movies from Sony animations, illuminations, Blue-Sky, Studio Ghibli, or Laika?
This might be my DnD fanatic bias coming out in me, but I think Onward belonged in S tier. Or at least A tier. And I actually did understand the villain's backstory and motivation in Incredibles 2. Granted, it's not nearly as good as it could have been, but I believe it has its merits. Take a look at it this way. Evelyn's brother was already trying to make supers legal again. And he was doing a great job at advocating for their cause. Rather than openly oppose him, Evelyn pretended to go along with his idea. She worked alongside him, tricking the main protagonists and, more importantly, her brother into thinking she was on their side. But, using the mind control powers of Screenslaver, she planned to "expose" supers as being only in it for the glory, rather than actually wanting to help. And she would do this live a worldwide broadcast that was supposed to legalize supers throughout the globe. Because she knew if she succeeded, as she almost did, the world would've been like "why did we even think supers were a good idea in the first place?". It would've reasserted their previous beliefs that supers couldn't be trusted, only this time it would be a stronger, more permanent collective opinion. It's the whole "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" philosophy. If supers would've just stayed illegal, then somewhere down the road, advocacy groups would've happened again. It wouldn't have been permanent. But if she could get the world to have the "I knew it" moment, supers' illegal status would've become a more permanent fixture in society, as there would have been harder evidence than before that supers could not be trusted. I think it was an ingenious plan on her part. And her motivations behind her plan were legitimate, as well. She wanted supers out of the picture to encourage people to solve their own problems, rather than leave them to the hands of a singular person with supernatural abilities. And since most of mankind is lazy, the only way she could do that was to make sure supers were permanently forced to hide their powers. This could have been a little more refined so the audience could more easily pick up on it, but, as a person who analyzes almost everything, I was able to figure it out. So that's why I believe it deserves a higher ranking than it got. Feel free to disagree with me, but now you at least have the other perspective to think about.
Yeah, Onward was great. It was a sweet story and I liked the characters. Also, that’s what I thought about Incredibles 2 as well. Evelyn was more manipulative and by working from the inside, she was able to sabotage the plan and try to reenforce that supers are dangerous in a harsher and permanent way. Society had a bias against supers already and by “proving” their bias is correct and demonizing supers, she could get supers to never be legal again. She could be written a little better, but she was an interesting villain.

A Bug's Life: Low B Tier. I still really like this movie, but the reasons why it's on this tier is because some of the characters,
I've seen those types of character cliches before, and that really, really stupid Liars Revealed trope. I really hate this trope,
and it was absolutely not needed for a movie like this. It was completely unnecessary. But like I said, I still enjoy A Bug's Life.
Toy Story 2: Definitely S Tier! I absolutely *adore* Toy Story 2. It's one of my favorite Disney movies alongside the Lion King and Tarzan.

Finding Nemo: S Tier.
The Incredibles: S Tier.

Ratatouille: A Tier.
Wall-E: S Tier.

Toy Story 3: High A Tier

Soul: Most definitely S Tier. It's my second favorite Pixar film of all time. My first favorite is Toy Story 2.

Some people say they didn't want to watch Cocoa because of its religion, but I say that the storyline was amazing and I even cried in the theater. It shows the importance of family, as well!
I really enjoyed Toy Story 4 but maybe it's because I love Bo Peep so much and I was glad to see her shine in this episode but I do agree that the story needed improvement and the main crop of toys were done dirty and changed too much to accommodate the main story. And the fact that Bonnie didn't give a rip about "her cowboy" anymore was ridiculous.
I'm surprised to see the Incredibles and Onward so low, yet Wall-E and Ratatouille so high!

How can you say your ranking is largely based on emotional impact but fail to mention the ending of Coco...? My entire theater SOBBED. Not sure what kind of stories pull at your heartstrings man but Coco is undoubtedly one of Pixar's most touching films to date.
No gasp here. Toy story 4 SUCKED!! I wouldn't even give it a d. HUGE F. First of all Forky is the stupidst thing ever and second......WOODY WOULD NOT LEAVE BONNIE!!!!!!!!!
