In this video we discuss more advanced features of the Pivot Table in Google Sheets. More exactly:
- What are calculated fields - and how you can have simple calculations within the Pivot
- Display modes: how to display the values as a percentage instead of an absolute calculation
- Date grouping: how to group dates by month, quarter and year instead of by day - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
the double date column was a very good advanced option 'thank you'. i will use this immediately on my reports!
Hey Radu - thanks for your informative video. I was specifically interested in the dates grouping at the end of this tutorial. I wonder if there is a way to group specific date ranges? For example, I want to have the pivot table report on everything between Jun 8 and Jul 22 inclusive. Is it possible to do this - there is no option in standard right click grouping. Thanks!
Hi,
is it possible to add a custom field where it will subtract the the respective row value from the total number?
Is there a way to put grand totals at the top of the pivot, in excel this is possible but can't seem to do it in sheets?
Thanks
Hi. Why does my pivot table show dates instead of values when I am bringing in values to the pivot. Please help!
Instead of Create Pivot Date group (at 5:42) I am getting "Create Pivot Group rule"....but my date is not in the same format...is this why?? My date is simply yyyymmdd
Is there a way for us to change the design of the Pivot table on Google sheet?
Not really, we don't have the same options like in Excel
Is there a way to create a calculated ITEMS like in Excel?

How do you Perform Year over Year Analysis with a Pivot Table? In Excel there is a feature "show values as" and we can choose "%Difference from previous" and include that value into Pivot Table directly.
I am not able to send you a screenshot on this comment but I found an Excel tutorial about this topic: th-cam.com/video/2sJpcBUckK8/w-d-xo.html
How can we do the same but with Google sheet. I've been struggling for 4 hours now.
Calculated field is easy???? Its literally the hardest thing on planet earth. Every formula gives me a name or parse error. Like wtf is wrong this stupid program
