I remember going to this when I was a kid with my dad! It was on the beach and wasn't that crowded. Glad to see it grow like it has!
AND THE ONLY THING I REMEMBER WERE THE CHICKEN PEOPLE DOING REALLY GOOD! WAY TO GO CHICKENS!!
Some of those things look very engineered and built. They really need a longer runway to show the full potential of some of those machines

You might have noticed half the constructions were comic characters, flying ducks, and stupid contraptions. Its not about aerodynamics its about stupid fun.

Gosh, I was expecting teams of engineering students or at the very least a couple of crackpot garage mechanics.
This is just pure lunacy. I always thought redbull events were supposed to focus on stretching the limits of our abilities through innovation. Boy was I wrong. This competition had so much potential!
For the less-intelligent side of the population, I guess it's all right for a good laugh and and some more cash in Redbull's pocket. I'd bet the early 20th century's "pioneers of flight" would've had something to say about this. What a farce.
