    As a homemaker, I always seek ways to save our family money. Today, I prepared your Homemade Toilet Cleaner Bombs.... and I love the result! I'd like to prepare more natural products for our home to ensure elevated health and to save us money. I have very sensitive skin. I noticed that my dandruff is coming-back... so, I really would like to incorporate more natural products into my life to reduce inflammation.
    We love your informative insight! I love all of your recipes that I've tried thus far. Thank you!

    People just believe and follow anything they see online these days. Do your research, please! Soap has different PH of a Shampoo Bar. Melt and pour soap doesn't need to get oils added to it because the oils were already incorporated when the soap was made. Anything you add to melt and pour will just be held, not incorporated. I would look for a PH balanced shampoo bar recipe or get a book from a professional that explains how to make shampoo bars with the right PH, which is 7 or bellow. Soap has a PH of 8 or higher. It will strip your hair.

      Ana Aguacil that’s probably the Shea butter. Do you have fine texture hair? Shea butter is better for coarser hair that needs more moisture. Aka it’s usually used on black hair to lock in moisturize which is probably why it was so greasy on your hair.

      Melt and pour soap base is already made soap with oils as ingredients already blended in during the soap making process. You cannot add oils to a melt and pour soap because it will not blend together. What happened to you will happen to anyone trying to add olive oil to any melt and pour soap. This recipe is horrible. You can make shampoo bars, GOOD SHAMPOO BARS, by making cold process soap from scratch! If you’re really interested in making your own shampoo bars you need to learn the cold process soap making. So glad you shared your experience. Hopefully you saved some people money. ❤️

    You can lower the PH level with specific additives. Used in small amounts. There us also a shampoo melt and pour base called syndet, specifically fir yse in making shampoo bars. I found this info by researching. If you research you can find plenty of information on this. Ive read varying opinuons and information on this, some say soap vase us ok for making shampoo bars some argue that its harsh and has too high of a PH level. So doing enough research on your own on the matter is best. That way you will be informed and able to make the right decision for your hair care. God bless all. 😊

      Shampoo has a slightly acidic Ph because our hair likes that (it helps keep the follicle closed and lying flat, rather than open and vulnerable to breaking and such). On the other hand, soap has an alkaline Ph, which is what makes it clean well (there's no such thing as soap that has lower Ph, because it becomes unstable-though there are detergents and surfactants that have a neutral or acidic Ph).
      All of that to say: this is soap, not shampoo, so it is best to rinse with an acidic rinse afterwards to avoid damage to your hair in the long run. :)

      Soap base is the only ingredient you genuinely need to make soap. It's what makes it froth up

    How do you measure how much oils you need?

    • @kimberlysingletary69
      @kimberlysingletary69 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I googled if I needed to use any oil or butters. Google said 1 tbsp. of oil per pound of soap base. But, it did say not to use butters in the soap base and to use the bases that already have butters, like shea butter.

    there is way too many additives to this MP base. at most you can add around a table spoon of extra additive to the ready made base. you are making the soap base unstable.

      So I followed both ur recipes for shampoo and conditioner bars exactly. I used them last night and with I was in there I could tell/fell that my hair was getting very moisturized. Too much in fact so I rinsed for along time with very warm water. When I got out I couldn't get my brush threw it very well. I ended up just braiding my hair and going to sleep. Woke up this morning took the braids out and it does look AMAZING but it feels awful, Like as if all the butter is still in it. I wouldn't be able to run a brush or my fingers through it right now without ripping it out. Any suggestions?

      @@rhiannawasielewski7135 Try regular soap bar. I used castille soaps and had a similar experience. My hair looked clean and volumized (I also have fine blonde hair), but it took maybe 10 hours to dry and felt like I'd been using dry shampoo and hairspray nonstop for a week. I couldn't brush it either which is not a problem I typically have. I won't be trying that again. Dove, on the other hand, worked just as well as regular old random shampoo. Regarding your question, I wouldn't recommend oil for hair that's fine and already greasy.

    As Arinka said, soap is not good for hair. Soap is very basic but your hair likes a more neutral or acidic environment. I would not reccomend this strategy
