    Something was revealed to me through TLC’s comments. Jesus put himself out there and stayed 3 days to heal the sick and a He put himself in there and stayed 3 days in that tomb to save and heal us from our sins. What love our Savior has for us!

    My God shot was how He went for the one in Tyre. Left the 99 for the one. God is after our hearts. ❤

    My God Shot: when you said he probably was exhausted even though Jesus is fully God and fully human. That further lets me know that in my own strength, I can't do anything. But, God knows this from experience and certainly will help me do whatever He has put before me. My load is heavy but Jesus can and will make it light. In him, I will succeed in this (and any other) assignment.

      We need our Father! With Him we can accomplish great things. Without God, I am empty.

    What the Lord cares about is our hearts. Outward appearances of obedience and following traditions is not what matters to God. What matters most is a repentant heart that knows his/her spiritual depravity and desperate need for Jesus.

      In John 14 He says if you love Me, you will obey My commands. So yes, hearts matter, but bc we love Him, we walk in obedience. Obviously, we mess up, but He is there waiting for us to repent.❤

    My God shot was Jesus was discussing the hypocrisy that the pharisees were practicing. It humbly reminded me to avoid putting my flesh wants over my spiritual needs and a pray that I can continue to put my spirt over my flesh, I pray this for all of you as well. God bless y’all🤝✝️

    Aloha, praise the Lord and good morning BR family. God shows us that is not what’s on the outside (clean or unclean ) hands; it’s about our hearts. As said to the woman in 15:28, “O woman, is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire”. Only trust, faith and believe he will always follow through on his promises. He is where the JOY is!!!❤

    Matthew 16:30, "Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute, and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them." He is our Healer.

    Jesus takes a wrecking ball to hypocrites and self-serving institutions, and assures His disciples, “Don’t worry about them. They won’t last. Be concerned about your hearts. That’s what endures; that’s what My kingdom is built upon” (Matt 15:14, 20). This is refreshing and hopeful for us to hear today: the opinion-makers and keepers of power in education, the courts, the media are so clear that God is not only a myth, but dangerously divisive and judgmental. But Jesus says, “I know their hearts, and look around you. The Pharisees died with Rome; I endure forever. What you see today will be overturned by My kingdom of joy, peace, love, kindness-against these things, there is no law” Gal 5:23).

    God is concerned about our hearts. He said the things that defile us are what comes out of our mouths which comes from our hearts (Matt 15:18, Mark 7:21).

    This is actually the second time recorded that Jesus heals someone who is a Gentile. It is interesting to point out that Jesus and the disciples went all that way for her. The first healing was the servant of a Roman Centurion. He had great faith too. Good Commentary, Tara-Lee. God bless you!

    That Jesus tests our faith isn’t a reality that I think of often. But He seems to be doing that with the woman from Phoenicia, and God certainly tested Abraham’s faith on Mt Moriah, and He did as Jacob wrestled “with God.” Jesus wants not only to strengthen my faith, but also the faith of others around me.

    • @lindawilson4117
      @lindawilson4117 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      And the testing makes us arrive at our own answers, or clarify our beliefs and motives toward God. It's the "communion of the saints" spoken of in the Apostles' Creed. Like a conversation.

    When the need was greater and the resouces were less (feed 5,000 with 5 loaves), there were more leftovers (12 baskets). Here, feeeding less people (4,000) with more resources (7 loaves) left 7 baskets of leftovers. Shows that God can use our little resources for His work and that less resources is Not a disadvantage. Credit to my pastor in a recent sermon.

    Reading God's word and knowing it through and through allows us to decipher God's commands from human traditions or laws. We need to know the difference between human traditions and what God commands of us so that we can honor God and stay true to Him over the things of this world.
    Matthew 15:3 NIV
    "Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?"
    This makes me think of America's tradition of celebrating Halloween. I don't know what the Bible would teach us regarding this holiday. Any thoughts?

    • @joanneshields479
      @joanneshields479 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It is a pagan tradition of worship of the Dead. I don't think God approves of it. And you're right that is just following tradition same thing with Easter bunny on easter. We just combined Christian events with pagan tradition.

      Regarding Halloween, someone pointed out to me, on no other holidays do people from around you come willingly to YOUR door? We should take advantage of that opportunity in whatever way seems appropriate.

    When your loved one dies, they are not fishin’ with daddy, and greeting and huggin’ mama and granny… they are on their faces worshiping a most Holy God.
    If you don’t like reverence, worship, and fellowship with the brethren here on earth, your not gonna like heaven

    Help, help! Yesterday you discussed the term believe in context of its true original meaning. I started thinking about that in terms of John 3:16. It has to be more than “believe in Him”. Where can i do a deep dive into this in light of your discussion yesterday??????

    I don’t think the three days of healing was a coincidence. Jesus spent three days healing the sick, then the multiplication of food emphasized the bread. Jesus spent three days in the grave and we learned earlier that Jesus is the Bread of Life. “Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion on the crowd because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. And I am unwilling to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way.”” Matthew‬ ‭15‬:‭32‬ ‭ESV‬‬
