The position of median = {N+1}/2 ={5+1}\2 =6/2 =3
Hence,

Here, N= 6 which is even
The position of median = {N+1}/2 ={6+1}\2 =7/2 =3.5
Hence,
median = 3rd term +0.5 (4rth term -third term)
=6+0.5(7-6)
=6+0.5*1
