@goldie103103 I'm just curious mate what do you think happens when you dissengage the clutch and apply the transmition brake? and they are built to do that
it is possible to just disengage the clutch by pressing the pedal halfway down you can feel the extra pressure of the spring that keeps the transmission brake required to keep it free of the reverse idler gear
In that case you should never use the 27 hp of the engine to reverse a heavy load. The load on the transmission turning over the motor in high high gear will be only a small fraction of the powered reversing a heavy load.

Don't ever ever ever, tow start a Standard Fordson N. It will damge the worm drive as it is designed to drive by engine, not the wheels.

@vasalle2008 Here here. Mine starts easy, 4 swings, half the choke, open the govenor 10 notches, and it should fire up.
Yeah, you need a madneto to make it move, funny enough a year ago today that happened.

@edgiee27 Don't blame me when your worm gear gets wear from running the wrong way.
Never use reverse then!
Plug leads, not on the right plugs. Or the mag could be 180° out.
You should not bump start a worm drive.
