Ok I guess I learned his name for the timestamps.
A few other things is that you can send the ball into the air by holding back while hitting it. This'll prevent it from getting hit by most alt attacks and give you time to do whatever you want while it slowly flies in the air. The ninja's teleport leaves behind a log that actually collides with the ball. Also it seems his dodge is somewhat ball seeking. Lastly, the spear user can actually dodge roll forwards and backwards if said buttons are held. It's actually quite easy to defeat him since all you have to do is bait him into walking to the top or bottom of the stage and then just hit the ball opposite where he's at and he has absolutely no way to counter it.
Very good additional info. Thank you for sharing it! Funny how in all my attempts I never tried hitting the ball while holding back, seems so obvious now!
also yellow guys real ball is always the top one
This game is so fucking good
Just turn the speed to hyper, score limit to 4, and use back + hit to lob the ball, the AI has no way to deal with this and it's a guaranteed score. Easy cherry on the first try in under 4 minutes
Smart idea. Definitely a good option to get the cherry easily. Thanks for sharing your findings!
Another good tip is that if you don't want to play the default 8 rounds, you can change it in the options menu and still get the gold/cherry disk.
A very good tip indeed. Wish I'd thought of this before making the video but thank you for sharing the info!
Got cherry with Ayumi as that was the only character I played. I don't use her secondary weapon much as it sometimes screws me over. Besides that, I like her playstyle a lot.
Well played! Looking back I definitely dismissed playing her much earlier than I could have, I think I only tried her once and upon realising I couldn't use the secondary gave up on the spot. Definitely other merits to playing her though!
Kataro as the final opponent feels IMPOSSIBLE the ai doesn’t mess up at all and he input reads to insta stun you with shurikens 😭
Keep going you will get it I know it
if you are really struggling there is a bug in the game as of now where if you wait for the ball to be on the back half on your court and you stand against the back wall and roll while holding backwards and cancel the roll with a attack you will hit the ball clear over the opponents head no counter play LOL
i find doing the bug easier on key board
Good info! Doesn't strike me as the kind of game to get lots of patches so hopefully this option stays available for people. I just hope if I ever play 2 player no one does that to me!
I can pretty consistently get to the final match...but no matter who I'm play as or against, the AI is just complete BS and I'm lucky if I can score 1 or 2 points against them. Very frustrating. Otherwise, it's an absolutely fantastic game.
Yeah I agree, think they went a bit overboard on the difficulty on the final match. There's plenty of extra tips people have commented if you haven't tried any of those yet, otherwise I think it's just a case of persistence. I'm sure you'll get it!
