    Lots of gorgeous glaze combinations. Amaco Mayco and Laguna glazes. Layering techniques and a beautiful bubble glazed chip and dip bowl! More playing with hand painted underglaze patterns with ducks, a dragon and a gnome! Enjoy my muddy people xx

    Lovely Celadon Bloom and Pink Gloss mug! Nice bubbling. Ooooo...love the Power Turquoise and Galaxy mug. I have to try that! Oh ya!, the Lavender Mist & Sandstone is scrumptious. OH DEAR! So sorry about peep hole in your dish! It's so much work! I do that, too! I put colours together at my shows. I think it looks better. Much success to you at your market! Great unload, Nat!

    Hi ladies! I really enjoy watching you. Great pieces, and I love the lavender mist bowls. On your chip and dip, large pieces on the bottom will crack because they cool faster. Too bad on that, as the glaze and form were beautiful! But success on the double dip bowl, so redemption is good. I think the dragon mug is super cute! So many pretty things!

    I did a double take at your celadon bloom mug. I used to do tea cups like that, although I used pink ice. It DOES sell well. I only have one little, lonely one sitting in my studio, but it's on speckled clay which I don't recommend! I love yours, Nat... gorgeous.
    And your Lavender Mist/Sandstone gets a big impressed gasp from me!

      @@mudmagic407 You're welcome! I've been meaning to ask: how much clay do you use for your chip and dip bowls?

    • @mudmagic407
      @mudmagic407  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends on the design n size I want. If I throw with the dip bowl as all in one throwing (if that makes sense) then 2.8-3kg. If I attach the little bowl separately then about 2-2.5 kg for big bowl then make small bowls to attach 400-500g. I’m not very precise lol.

    Oh Nat I feel soo bad that those AMAAAZING pieces cracked like that!! I absolutely love the blue and pink mug! What is it about those colors that just make me so happy? Lol. I love the big chip and dip at the end. And oh the bubble glazing on the black clay is just stunning!! I recently set up my pottery at a local restaurant that has a gift shop. They are a farm to table organic restaurant so they are only open from May to the middle of October. Anyway I set up my pieces this year in color order and it looks amazing this way! I was shocked at how cohesive it all looks. Best of luck at your market.

      @@mudmagic407 I was just watching a kiln opening video by unseth pottery and she mentioned how she makes a separate bowl for her chip and dips because making them out of the same piece causes cracks!! She said this way she can also trim the bottom of the “plate” and then she glazes both pieces and sits the bowl on the plate and just fires it that way!! I thought of you immediately. Maybe you would want to do that!

    • @mudmagic407

    The glazing on the noodle bowl and sauce bowl sets we're my favourite.
    But the big bowls were stunning too. Shame about the massive crack on the chip and dip. Waaaaaaah 😭 how annoying, as the glaze and form were just perfect.
    Happy potting and hope the markets go well.
    It's getting quite cold here in the ACT. If the sun is out and no wind it's bearable. Minus temps below zero overnight isn't fun though.

    Hi Nat. Felt your pain with the cracks. Just wondering if you compress enough on your large flat pieces, both in the making and trimming. I really concentrate on compression and have had great success. I also put a lot of silica sand on the shelves so they can slide around and have fun in there. Hope your market was a success. 💞🇨🇦
