This is a more relaxed feel for this tune than the standard hymnal versions of Be Thou My Vision. I particularly like the new material that you have added in the introductory sequences and the bridges between phrases of the melody. Beautiful harmonizations over top the traditional Slane melody .Paul, it always amazes me how you take an existing beautiful melody, and then transform it into this other incredible work of art with great sensitivity and emotion. It's wonderful !

Hi Paul, lovely composition, and played with great sensitivity! This hymn is a real favourite in our region. How authentic did you find this composite sample set of St Ouen? I imagine it would be a challenge to replicate such a unique and characterful organ, let's hope they will allow recording and sampling one day, along with St Sulpice! Take care John

This inspired me to look up the lyrics translated and sung in Deutschland 🇩🇪 I’m sad to say my German is far too poor to sing along to Steh Mir Vor Augen but I sung it in English instead. Do you have a video of playing And Can It Be? That hymn is glorious and I’d delight to hear you play it.
