It’s my personal favorite of all time. Chris, Sarge, Rory, Eliza, Twila, and Ami are all fantastic characters, and every dud in the cast are immediately taken out. Chris is one of the best social players to ever play the game and people don’t talk about him enough. Chris is my favorite player of all time and while I knock he does lack the physical aspect of the game along with making some questionable strategic decisions. Overall he played one of the best games I’ve ever seen because of his ability to get everyone to trust him.
Chris literally saved himself from being the obvious first boot in an old school season then played one of the most impressive end games to this date and we got robbed of seeing him again because he voted off a girl Jeff Probst has been inside of.
This is a really good season. The battle of sexes theme is iffy to me this season it doesn't work as well as Amazon but not as bad as One World but there are still some moments and nothing outright bad came of it. The islands of fire sub-theme makes the season what it is. great cast outside of Brook and Brady who are out in episode's 1 and 4 anyway. That cast can make even the slowest episode's fun to watch. i rank it 13th.

Yessss Vanuatu is amazing! So so so so so underrated. The premerge is kinda slow but the post merge is one of the best ever. The final 7 on is some of the greatest string of episodes ever. And amazing characters like Chris, Eliza, ami, Julie, and Rory. Just peak survivor that I wish was talked about more
This was the first season where I really remembered LGBTQIA+ relationships being highlighted during the family visit. Also, Chris was very smart. He talked about how he wasn’t going to show weakness during the Final Tribal Council and Twila came in very combative. Whereas Chris was deferential and apologetic which worked in his favor.
Aahhh, still salty that we didn't get Chris back for WaW, tbh, hahha, he absolutely deserves to play another game if he'd ever feel / be able to play with his health. 🌹🌹
I love how production overcompensates by having older players this season (especially on mens tribe). I guess CBS got alot of heat and controversy about the Amazon being overly, how do i put it, horny

It is weird that julie and ami would expect chris to vote with them. julie betrayed chris at the start of the merge and went to vote with all girl alliance. It dont make sense for him to vote with julie and ami
I really didn't care much for this season. Credit to Chris for winning but I feel like he wasn't that impressive. The girls alliance slowly cannibalized itself. Props to him, though, for recognizing how to let them destroy themselves.
Saying one of them got 'the real prize for all female players' because she dated the host is kinda sexist. Pretty much saying women go there because they're horny for the host. I don't think its meant to be demeaning or anything, but it is.

First half of the season is pretty eh, but man things got REALLY interesting post merge.
Boring pre-merge, maybe, but the Final 7 onwards is probably the best stretch of episodes in Survivor history

This is one of the very few seasons that I watch the reunion/postshow on rewatch just because of how salty Jeff is throughout.
Eliza's jury speech remains a classic. I watch it regularly.

The reunion redeemed the season for me. Made me see that as boring as the season was there were some good people there among the annoying ones.
