Great Question!! I believe they're group marks, as Shimano states, "• Always be sure to use the sprocket set bearing the same group marks of gears; never use in combination with a sprocket bearing a different group mark of gears." si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/dm/MBCS001/DM-MBCS001-04-ENG.pdf
How does the cassette perform? I'm thinking of getting either the 11-42T or 11-46T, but would need a rear derailleur hanger extender to fit those larger cogs.
It performs really well paired with compatible Shimano shifters and derailleurs. The m5120 can work with 46t no extender necessary if 1x up front. bike.shimano.com/en-US/product/component/deore-m4100/RD-M5120-SGS.html
You mentioned the largest cog is in line with the spider. Dos this mean the cassette offers a better chainline than the CS M5100, that has the spider placed somewhat more inwards?
@@pedalpowercycling I only use the 3 smallest sprockets. Is there any equivalent 10 speed cassette that lets you swap out the 3 individually? Preferably steel sprockets because I ride an ebike.
Why are you on wall😂 you look like your taking a magshot..
It helps make the cycling equipment I'm talking about look that much better.
What do the :bv, bk & bj initials on the cogs mean??

Yes it should depending on the chainline of the front crankset.
Can you buy just the 3 smallest sprockets (11-13-15) for this cassette?
I haven't seen it sold this way.
