Kalimera Nick! fabulous boat and informative video. I know it certainly is a husband / wife operator boat, personally i would still be more comfortable with a skipper on board for trips to the islands, so i can enjoy the boat and my guests better. but thats me... keep up the great work. thanks
Hi MarineMax. Just wondering when we will get a full detailed walkthrough showing all the features and discussion on options. Also wondering if BoatTest will have an opportunity to do a test and features video. I find their reviews really informative.
i wonder are you selling a boat or furnitures!!! all adds are describing it along with the decoration. what about the engines, navegation devises, safety features, maintenance, performance at rough seas...etc???
The dinghy launch and retrieve system is nice in theory, but when it "breaks" you're SOL until you can get it fixed. If you're down in the SE Caribbean you may have to wait a very long time. I think it would have been easier to make that aft platform go out and into the water deep enough to pull your dinghy on and lift it hydraulically with a manual crank system as a back-up.
I noticed you said that the new 54’s were sold through I believe the mid-30’s ? What is the lead time for an order to go through on a 5 stateroom layout as opposed to the 4 stateroom layout ? Also since the high order number considering the time it takes to do the catamaran how long should a customer ordering now expect to get their boat ? Ballpark please ?
From what I saw, this looks like a really nice boat. Quite a reasonable design. And I was especially pleased to hear at 0:49 that a "horizontal" table had been included. That's great! Because I understand that for whatever reason, the "vertical" tables don't seem to work all that well. A small criticism, if I may. Granted, the sun may have been very bright at the shooting of this video, but sun glasses, especially blue mirror sun glasses, have no place in a promotional video of this type. Suggestion: if you do another video, lose the glasses. And forgive me, but being an English major I would be negligent if I did not comment that prepositions have no business at the end of a sentence and I might also add that I lament the apparent demise of the adverb.
this & 70ft from Aquila is best cat layout I hve seen w/most being complete fail huge dance lough waste of space. Hving 3,4,or5 rooms options is very smart design. Only thing is not a v hull & that means not enough fuel in 70ft, but 54 might b fine bc it is nor trying to hve long range.
This is indeed a nice boat but there are quite a few flaws one helm in this boat you have to go into the weather to get upstairs that’s ridiculous, (the 44 has two helms! And the 54 is a more expensive boat. washer in the shower another ridiculous feature, why on earth would you locate a washer in the shower?, No IPS drive debatable but joystick control would be nice with the boat this large at least some kind of bow thruster option.
It's a lovely boat but in my opinion this spec we've seen in this video is a bit of a let down styling-wise, unfortunately. There's a cheap look about it, very much like a 2 star budget city hotel room-ish! Any designer worth their salt can fix the styling at no or little extra cost! They need to get rid of those silly curtains in the master! The headboards in the state rooms are pathetic. Don't call the crew cabin the 4th stateroom, because well... it's clearly a crew cabin! The floors outside need something, there's too much of white GRP for my taste. But there's lots of positives as well. I like the full size fridge in the galley for example! It'll be a success but it needs jazzing up a bit!
Seems 60-65ft is sweet spot in cat style to Me, for owner operator & price, but 70ft is nice extra room but comes at a cost. For most ppl who can afford it 60-65ft cat will b best of day or weekend & weeklong range sweet spot. 70ft left Me thinking needed to b 75ft needed extra sea state & range. Just God opinion but that is how I saw it.
For Me on these cat boats it comes down to added cost vs normal semi-displacement but also a working layout most of all, & docking problems & cost vs normal beam hull boat. So if getting shorter boat but wider boat trade of design worked out Then leaves only cost & docking. So speed & range next up does it fit the clients needs main follow up issue. For Me layout good ok, styling fail but can change it after fact some what. But price & docking r tough to work around bc u hve only 54ft or 70ft leaves missing momma bear size boat. Again can change but will layout still work in 60-65ft. Other issue is clients needs & for Me the cat would need to b 3 same same same hulls bc power of 3 med engines beats 2 big engines, & more walk/working room in engine room 3 vs 2 hulls. Much more flexible power band running just center hull engine or 2 or all 3 threw rev power range. biggest issue of this God client is missing range. It will draft far less at 65ft 3 same hulls even carrying extra weight than cat 70ft hull.
The middle hull does not extend full length like other 2 hulls but stops 3/4 of way back, that way the beach drop down swim deck dingy launch has plenty of room.

Dayuum hard to choose between the 54 beast or the 44. Nice demo video.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks, a FULL WALKTHROUGH is on the way!
Hey cameraman, more shots of the ship! And fewer shots of that guy ..
He's showing the Cat are you blind so toxic
Totally disagree - this guy is the best thing about the video, he's gorgeous!
Lol exactly “here’s the wet head” and then we never get to see it
Totally agree. Could not finish it…

Thank you🙂
Looks amazing but how soon before they bring out a solar power cat? All that surface area and they use NO solar at all? Diesel is dirty and expensive.
An awesome boat
I use to live near there.. this is an amazing looking boat

Of course if the platform is in the water and "breaks" won't come up u have a bigger problem.
@@DJ-zu5jm Of course, that's why I said a hydraulic platform with a manual crank system as a back-up.
Such an awesome boat, great job on design. Nice walk-through video!
That is a beautiful boat I’m guessing one or two people can operate it and don’t need a crew

Reverse rake windows & dark helm r a must, & top helm needs to b enclosed option.
3 monitor minimum
If 3hull setup means beam gets slightly wider say length of 60-65ft but beam of the 70ft+ good walk ways & bed walk around on 70ft was a little tight.

I love see this boat

There's something kinda douchy about this guy!
He's a salesman. It kinda comes with the job, right?
What is the paint bubble looking spot on the underside of the starboard side? Already damaged? At :18 in video
a piece of shrink protective wrap left on the boat.
Crystal is correct, it is a piece of shrink-wrap protective film from shipment of this brand new Aquila 54!
There isn’t a “k” in Aquila.

Not even close. Aside from having very cheap fixtures, the layouts are wasted in the salon.
Hard to look at after being on the Aguila 70.....

Nice except for Volvo

I think the middle engine should b a volvo penta pot style. Bc most efficient design & give greatest maneuvering.
This is a yacht for people who don't care what their yacht looks like
to make more sea state worthy I would make each room door hve water tight dogs & sunroof escape poss.
Since when are palm trees growing in St. Petersburg? . . . oh wait. It's the other St. Petersburg.
Interior styling is complete fail for Me personally, but ppl r buying it/selling so who knows, market knows.
