Pentagon self produced songs have a lot of rock elements. Basquiat especially with the guitar riff & leader Hui's vocal is phenomenal.
The recent album B-sides are amazing. One Shot has rock elements, The Game is opera + rock. They're just so amazing and I can't brag abt them enough!

They actually have variety of pop rock songs because of Hui (Leader, Main vocalist, Lead dancer, Rapper)
He loves rock, thats why when he is producing their songs, most of them sound like a pop rock
The rapper with "different" voice is Dawn, he left Pentagon and you may recognize him by (Hyuna and Dawn: Ping pong). I love everything about Pentagon: They are funny/caotic as NCT and SVT, they are sexy as Monsta X and they produce their own songs like SVT 😍. If you liked more "Daisy" and "Feelin like" check "Dr bebe" and "Sha la la" 😁 "Do or not" is more kind cute pentagon

daisy is an absolute masterpiece. from melody, to lyrics, to mv, to choreo. just pure perfection! hui did so well with this song i can't praise him enough for being such an amazing composer. pentagon as whole are filled with such aces doing everything from writing their own lyrics to choreographies to even doing acting in dramas. theyre all so great i love them lol.
Sir! You should probably know that Kino from Pentagon is best friends with Vernon! And Jun and Minghao were on a Chinese show with Yanan from Pentagon and they're good friends too ❤️
jinho (the small guy with the cape in shine lol) is actually currently in the same musical with jinki in 'midnight sun'! they play the same character tho so there's not much interactions of them being together but theyre pretty close already since jinho used to be an sm trainee and actually debuted in sm as part of the group called 'sm the ballad' along with shinee jonghyun, suju kyuhyun, and jay kim so he knows a lot of current sm idols rn, (especially shinee, some exo and some nct members). jinho was also the guy who won first place on sm everysing (exo minseok placing second) so u know his vocals are no joke! him as well as hui and hongseok are the main vocals. :)

despite pentagon having a more mature sound they always come back to their brighter concepts, before they released 'feelin like', one of their latest bright cbs are 'do or not' and 'humph', i would also like to recommend 'naughty boy' and their japanese release called 'happiness' too!

I was waiting for you to check them out! They are probably one of the most interesting groups in kpop with a variety of different personalities, looks, and talents. Their vocal line is IMMACULATE. Jinho (main vocalist) is my ultimate bias, I think you'll like him a lot if you check out his covers. He used to be an SM trainee, was a member of the SM Ballad project group, and almost debuted in EXO as a main vocal. After leaving SM he also worked as a vocal coach, which is super cool! One member left sadly, but he is a soloist under the name Dawn under P-nation. Two members are serving in the military rn and Jinho only recently returned, so this explains why the number of members will change throughout the MVs.
SM the Ballad (feat. SHINee's Jonghyun, SuperJunior's Kyunhyun, Jay Kim from TRAX, and Pentagon's oldest - and smallest - member Jinho) was so great! Their song "Hot Times" is a masterclass in vocal runs! 🥰
He actually never almost debuted with EXO! He's explained on multiple occasions that people have misunderstood him, he would've debuted with an SM group, but he himself stated it was (most likely) not gonna be EXO

22:23 he’s Yanan (the only Chinese member and he’s actually close with Junhao especially Jun). He’s a vocalist and visual. The rappers are Wooseok and Yuto (the tallest members).
as a huge rock fan, pentagon is my only ult kpop group. most of the members are rock fan and they like making rock songs like daisy, one shot, spring snow, do or not, genius, basquiat... they're all incredible song makers, i think you should listen them more, you really gonna love their music
Someone else has probably mentioned this but Pentagon have done a lot of "It's Live" videos on the It's Live channel for the last 3 comebacks and you have to check them out! Their live vocals are insane so I know you'd enjoy them. Hui is my bias and can't wait for him to be back; he created a masterpiece with "Daisy." Can't wait for you to experience more Pentagon (when you have the chance)!
I think it will be hard to pin down a fave era just because they bounce around so many genres each album… their titles switch up between mature/sexy/dark and innocent/fresh/fun almost every release…
But they debuted in 2016 from the show Pentagon Maker with 10 members. Jinho, Hui & Hongseok have already enlisted (Jinho is back now), Dawn (formerly E’Dawn) left the group & Cube in 2018 but is now in PNation, Dawn, Hui & HyunA had a trio under Cube before Dawn & HyunA left called Triple H (I miss them so much but I’m happy everyone’s happy ;-;)… Jinho was part of SM BALLAD actually! Though he never formally debuted under SM-I believe he was originally supposed to be in EXO though? Yeoone, Shinwon, Kino & Wooseok are the remaining Korean members who will eventually have to enlist… Wooseok is the giant rapper and also the maknae lol. Oh! And they have 2 foreign members, Yuto (Japanese) & Yanan (Chinese). If you ever end up watching the Chinese show CYZJ that Jun & The8 participated in, you’ll see Yanan too! He was partnered with Jun most of the show!
My biases are Hui & Yuto but I’m wrecked constantly lol and oml sorry if everything I wrote is all over the place-I’m currently getting over being sick!
Because Jinho was at SM prior to EXOs debut, a lot of people thought he'd debut with them and were surprised when he didn't. However, Jinho said that he was supposed to debut with a different group, but the members moved on one by one so he was left without a group.
Shine was a bit of a viral hit but didn't get them any wins. Daisy was their first win. I don't even think it's completely them being slept on, but also a lot of bad timing, they always have comebacks when the big names do and so keep getting eclipsed, but they finally started getting the recognition they deserve after being on Road to Kingdom

I would recommend you reacting to:
"Violet" - one of the members, Kino (he's the one you said that you feel like he's the face of the group in Feelin like) composed this song. It's really great and I have a fondness for it.
"Basquiat" - Hui and Wooseok participated in composing this song for the survival show - Road to Kingdom, in which Pentagon took part in.
"Dr Bebe" - alongside "Daisy" It's one of my favorite songs from them.
"Do or not" - It was the latest comeback in which their leader, Hui, participated before enlisting.
And I think that "Sha lala" is also worth listening to it.

Wooooooo! Pentagon! If you love Seventeen, you’ll love Pentagon! They have their genius composer in Hui. Plus Hui and Jinho are my favorite power vocalists next to DK and Seungkwan. The “face” you were talking about is Kino who is a fabulous dancer, choreographer, and composer. Yuto is Kpop’s first Japanese rapper, I think. They are musically versatile and all have great personalities. If you REALLY want to be blown away, check out Jinho’s cover series Magazine Ho! The man can SING. His range is insane! the rapper you like (dawn) was kicked out of the group in 2018 because of a dating "scandal" with hyuna. he's thriving in pnation and they're engaged now. jinho was missing in daisy because he was enlisted and hui was missing in feelin like for the same reason.

A lot of change occurred in the style of Pentagon over the years but you'll always hear the "Pentagon sound" like, you know it's Pentagon. They're actually self-producing too, like seventeen! Hui and Wooseok write a lot of their songs and my favorite songs from Pentagon are b-sides written by Wooseok
The rapper you pointed out as having a unique tone was E'Dawn but he's already left the group and goes by the stage name Dawn now. He's actually Hyuna's fiancé
The tall rapper in shine is Wooseok who coincidentally is their maknae and tallest member of the group. The other rapper is Yuto and yes he's japanese
I'm also not too sure which song would be your favorite since Pentagon has so much versatility but if you want to see more of them I'd recommend you to watch Naughty Boy, Basquiat (their final song for Road to Kingdom), Violet, Dr. Bebe, and Do or Not which was the comeback before Feelin' Like. They've just got so many good songs there's also Critical Beauty, Like This, Runaway, and even Humph! or Eternal Flame which all have their own mvs. Their b-sides are also a gem some of their albums my favorite song is a b-side
I highly recommend their song Like This, it's their first self-produced title track and still one of their best, and also their song Spring Snow which is an alternative rock b-side but it's considered to be one of their representative songs and they've performed it live several times. I also recommend their newest album IN:VITE U that came out with Feelin' Like, all of the b-sides are self-produced and it's an amazing mini album.
Hui has one of my fav voices in the industry, he’s just so effortless when he sings🤩

Thanks for reacting to Pentagon! Their sound is really more varied than just going from cute > sexy. You should listen to Do Or Not, their comeback between Daisy and Feelin' like and it has more upbeat vibe. As a self-produced group they are really into experimentation and really play with sound and instrumentation. Another reacter put it really well, *Pentagon's signature sound is more of a TEXTURE than a genre or 'vibe'* .

@pentagu’s groups guide and individual guides are AMAZING. Definitely worth checking out if you’re interested into getting to know them more. There are a lot of really good 3rd gen vocal lines out there but it honestly isn’t a stretch at all to say Pentagon one of the best. Their live singing is amazing. One of their main vocals (they have 3), Jinho actually debuted back in 2010 in the first SM THE BALLAD unit alongside the likes of SHINee’s Jonghyun and SuJu’s Kyuhyun.
Pentagon is so talented artist! Composer, song-writer, dancer, the VOCALS, rap justtt wowwww! and Jinho, one of main vocalist from pentagon was a trainee at sm before and he made songs with sm the ballad album. I hope you react to ‘hot times’ of sm the ballad! There is kyuhyun(sj) jonghyun(shinee) jay(trax) jinho(pentagon). his vocal is so insane!

Basquiat is a MUST if you want vocals. Hui (my ult bias) is one of the main composers and producers of the group. He is one of the main vocalists in the group along side Jinho. Everyone has already said a lot so I’ll just say being a Universe you don’t get disappointed. PTG have been through a lot and are in the middle of military service. Daisy was their 1st ever win. Feelin’ Like was their 2nd. In my opinion, Shine got ROBBED of a win. Everyone danced to that song and trainees and rookies STILL do! PTG was also on RTK with TBZ, ONEUS, TO1, VeriVery, Golcha, and ONF. They did an MX stage!
Also, we got to say that appart from their amazing songs, they have some of the best covers i've listened in kpop (them and gaho are my fav covers ever) in the "it's live" channel. My fav will always be "lovesick boys" from blackpink's song lovesick girls, they did too a rock version of itzy's "not shy", and they recently did an amazing cover on aespa's "savage"

Yuto is the rapper that said his catchphrase before his rap “YutoDa” (it’s Yuto in Korean). The other rapper with a deep voice is Wooseok, the maknae and tallest (real tall) member. They are all pretty tall and with some member who are smaller in height, they bicker because the noticeable height difference. I think if you’re more interested in knowing them, a simple guide is worth it. They are really talented in many fields and adorable and goofy. omg as a universe AND a moa (fandoms) i think pentagon and recent TXT are some of my favorite examples of rock influences in pop music (i also love day6 and the rose, but k-bands have structurally different songs than pop groups doing rock-themes with their songs) so if i could recommend some more songs for this rock-phase you're going through! pentagon have "do or not" and txt have "loser=lover

what a surprise! daisy is my absolute favorite kpop song of all time and i don’t even stan the group 100%, their music is just so so good to me + their leader produces basically everything (he also produces for others groups too, our king hui)
Will never forgive cube for kicking out Dawn he was literally promoted the most along with hui and was literally center in their biggest song. Although I'm glad he's doing his thing I just wonder what would have been if he wasn't kicked out or even if Dawns solo songs had been kid friendly
pentagon started off as 10 but dawn was kicked out by cube in 2018 so they're 9 now. their debut song is gorilla but after that they really started producing and composing their own songs, hui is their leader and he produces their songs mainly. he is currently enlisted but he comes back this year i believe.
pentagon is like seventeen, very chaotic and very loud but very talented as well. my personal favorites are like this, runaway, dr bebe. there are many useful guides that you can also check out if you are interested in getting to know them more.

even though I'm not standing them.. Jinho is one my favorite vocalist in KPop, I really love his vocal tone and vocal range. But Even though he's not in the "Daisy" MV because he's in the military, it's still one of the Pentagon's songs that I like the most.

The guy with the interesting voice is Dawn, he left the group after some controversy and is currently under PSY label, PNation!
In the last song Hui is missing cause he is currently enlisting! Hui, Jinho and Wooseok produced most of the songs for the group, besides being the main vocalists! Also Jinho is sort of like a legend in the industry, used to be in SM as a trainee but he left despite being one of the very best in the company and besides his work with the group he also vocal coaches trainees in the company he's currently, and he also has an INCREDIBLE youtube playlist called MagazineHo where he posts covers of famous songs both from musicals and by famous artists! I definitely recommend it to see his true vocal ability!

i’m happy to inform you that jinho (25:12) is a certified vocal coach ! our boys are so talented, dawn is a former member but he’s the rapper who’s voice you liked, he’s amazing, and for the feelin like mv there’s one member gone who’s in military service, the leader hui. so glad ur getting into them :’)

What I would absolutely recommend is their special flower live performance at jarasum where they sing a couple of their daisy album song acoustic, spring snow, eternal flame a song they wrote for unis (the fandom) from messages we sent them we’re even listed in the credits

Overview, Pentagon's name came from the reality show where the members were chosen. The Pentagon represents the 5 traits they needed to have to debut.

For example, Shine and Do or Not have acapella versions and Daisy has an acoustic version. Jinho has a YT channel, Magazine Ho, with over 40 professionally recorded covers! Gethsemane, When I was Your Man, Wildflower, You Are Not Alone, and Uphill Road (duet with Yeoone) are my favorites. Hui has been on many competition shows. I love his solo R&B version of Kill This Love and his trot solos from the show Favorite Entertainment. Jinho/Hui duets are incredible--Someday is a gem. Hongseok does covers under Hong Seasons. I love the duet he did with Hui and his cover of Driver's License. Yanan has Songomatic, but my favorite cover of his is a Chinese duet with Hongseok. They did some amazing work on The Road to Kingdom competition--that version of Shine + Spring Snow is a must-watch heart breaker as it was Jinho's last performance before entering the military and his members surprised him with message of love in the middle--he sang the second half perfectly in tune while crying his eyes out! (I included the version with competitors reactions because it had more subtitles.) And their covers on It's Live are amazing! Kino (you called it-he's the face of the group) did an incredible cover of BTS's Life Goes On. It has almost 2 million views and he's a sub-vocalist. Their cover of Lovesick Girls (Lovesick Boys) has over 8 million views and Jinho's vocals in Aespa's Savage are so good! This playlist is designed to demonstrate that their vocals are some of the best in the industry.
SIR if you want to hear their voices as it should be, I recommend that you react to Pentagon's appearances on the TH-cam channel of It's Live! They have collaborated many times and their vocals shine a lot, I recommend the video where they cover Aespa's "Savage", then the other where they present Daisy, and finally and my favorite, where they present one of their best bsides "Call my name". You won’t regret it !

Pentagon deserves so much more recognition than they've gotten--I feel like they're one of those groups that other groups respect but don't get as much attention from the public as others. They are so freakin' talented and such genuine, hardworking guys. No matter which groups you stan, everyone could use more Pentagon in their lives.
I think you would like eternal flame. Also a good song to hear Pentagon's vocals is till. A good b-side that is nice to listen to from the daisy album is beautiful goodbye, which was written by Kino (main dancer of the group).
Shine is my first kpop song and remains one.of.my favorites years later. Pentagon is truly special to me.
one of their main vocalists, the shortest one, was a former sm trainee. he was in sm's ballad project group called sm the ballad. he was expected to debut in exo but didn't.
Because he was at SM prior to EXOs debut, fans expected he'd debut with them, but he said that wasn't the case. He was supposed to debut with another group, but the members slowly moved on.

i do agree pentagon have 'grown' however they still do cute songs they don't stick to more mature themes, they're always versatile with their sound. I would love to see you react to them more thank you for looking into them!

shine was the first kpop choreo i ever learned and i can still do it on command lmao. i have a lot of fond memories of that song
They are incredibly versatile and do some rock stuff so I'm sure you will love them. Most of their music is self-composed and comes from the heart and gives you feels. Pretty pretty was actually a bside song from their 2nd mini album so it was a while ago. The titles I recommend you to check out:
