WH2J is actually my favorite from the entire series, but I know why you would consider it a downgrade. Fewer stages, the songs are very generic... But I like how the action is very fast on this one.
Iike this one the best. Perfect plays better cool added super moves. But 2 is definitely one of my favorites its the last to have death matches.... They shoulda brought that back...

If neogeo just spent a FULL year polishing this game it could have rivaled Samurai Showdown and Mortal Kombat back in the day...
Totally underrated but classic game. I sure do miss the 90s.
I always wished they released a new game or included the characters on KOF games.

@goduskychris Chris Godusky Jeanne from this series is a DLC character in SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy, so they obviously remember the series.
So far, it's only available on the PS2 as part of World Heroes Anthology.

World Heroes Jet and Perfect were such downgrades from World Heroes 2. I guess they couldn't leave well enough alone
