Charlie Pride is a gentleman, and a wonderful, wonderful person and artist.....what a dream come true for me to sing with him....it was a moment I will never forget :)
When I was 10 I had a huge crush on this awesome man. Our house was a Country Western music house when we were growing up. C Harley Pride is truly one of Countrys Greatest artists. Now, at 63 still admire him very much. Oh... if he were only still here. You've been gone 2 years Charley and still so missed. RIP.
this fine man has made his way up the ladder big time, born in poverty and one of many children, he has become a super star in country music and has earned it, numerous # one hits to prove, radio not being kind at first they had no choice, they played his songs over and over, he was in demand and still is thank you Sir for your fine voice
Oh so glad I ran across this video. One of favourite Charlie Pride songs and Carolyn Dawn Johnson is one of m favorite Canadian country singers, from my home province of Alberta ❤️❤️
charley pride was my first concert and I was 5 and I got to meet him before the concert. I listened to his tapes everyday even when i was that little and I just was shaking through the rest of the concert out of shock I met him
Great! I saw Charley in person around 1971 at the FL State Fair in Tampa. Gene O'Neal (RIP) was playing steel with him back then. Great concert. The next day I saw him at a local department store and got an 8x10 pic autographed, as well as his RCA greatest hits cassette - still have both of them. Ronnie Miller is a great player, and he really nails Lloyd Green's original playing throughout the song.
I watched the Grand Ole Opry show with my parents every Friday or Saturday Night. Yes, I grew up listening to Country Music. Bill Anderson is my number 1 singer
Charlie has won the hearts of many including mine and this duet is fantastic. Reminds me of the 60's in Montreal and Toronto. I hope to visit these places if God allows. There was "TIME SQUARE" on Park Ave., Montreal where the country music set my heart on fire. Fond memories.
Very cool! I saw both of these people in concert (seperately of course) and they were absolutely great. The both have great voices and the sound exactly the same as in their recordings.
@cdjinthehouse ...I felt inspired to search your name and Charlie Pride this morning and what a beautiful surprise Carolyn:) Being it is CCMA's in EDM this weekend, I am Hoping you win Female Artist of the Year again...Much Love to your family....big squeeze to your little ones - Bradley Boyd Patterson
Nicest looking gentleman! - He is the only black man that in my opinion dressed like a person. Men have gotten away from respecting themselves in this way.
Oops My bad. It was really really late at night when I replied. To answer your question, "What does taht even Mean?" - It means I have auditory processing disorder and what I meant to say usually comes out screwed up. But, if you want to go back further, you responded to my "opinion" and now it's just old. Take care and your music was great!
WELL stereotypes are the ones that buy records from THEM that have the preconceived notion that they are cool but Charlie is one of the last gentlemen in this genre.
You have turned this into a racist debate. I love hip-hop & R&B - in my home 24 hours a day. I WILL judge what the media feeds me - THANK U very much. Cuz my eyes see a cut off tshirt with no care for a performance (in the youtube you sent me) put the jeans on and get in front of an audience. Same with Tim McGraw & Amy Winehouse & Beyonce. They are WONDERFUL artists BUT r not gentlemen or ladies in their attire. I felt Charlie was the last true gentleman fashion wise. Black or white!

Sweet and simple. Shows off his terrific range, too. Loved it!
