    I started off making websites for my gaming clans when I was 12 lol. I continued doing it as a hobby for like 25 years before I finally decided to start selling my work, and I'm enjoying it. Thanks for the tips.

    I'm learning web design at university. I make a site with the logo as a link for home page, my teacher make me change it and add a new link to the navbar, home link.... for their perspective, using a logo as a link for home page is "not" intuitive... but I will keep your recommendation instead.

    Really amazing design lesson!!! 🙌 I knew already everything about hierarchy but you explained it straight to the point and really super nice with the visual comparison....so it was not only very simple to understand the concept, but also get immediately the feeling for it!
    When first it looks bad and out of order without hierarchy and second the comparison with hierarchy looking way more pleasant for the eyes of the viewer and even much better, with the small design details.
    The subtle gradient, the dark color for the main message, fresh green for the call to action buttons and so on!
    Thank you for that nice lesson....really appreciate it!
    Best Regards J.Lokko 😃

    FIRST... I have been trying to ensure that I get things right before I try getting clients, but I just need to get things in place then build and tweak as I go along...

    Question: if we wanted to start freelancing as a web designer, how could we also have it developed to give to the client? Do you need to learn both for freelancing, if not how do you find & get a web developer on board?

    Might be a silly question, but do I need to learn to code?

    Do you think it’s more marketable to refer to myself/business as a Web Designer vs Web Developer?

    • @filetmignon9978
      @filetmignon9978 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      if you do both, call yourself a designer/developer, designer+developer, something like that. If you specialize in one and do the other a little bit but not much, advertise the one you specialize in and offer the other skill as a bonus or something like that

    11:30 actually freelancing is not that risky anymore these days. Being employed is probably more risky.

    Please put your hair back on. I was confused. Great video though, after learing logo design and freelancing for about 3 months, I am also impelementing web design as well. Your story resonates a lot with the area of my life where I'm at. Jumping careers from a very good paying job to being a freelancer from scratch is definitely risky, but I can see it can be very rewarding. I really apprecate your videos!
