    Is it just me or anybody else that thinks his game is effective on our bjj, cause I tried everything such as full guard and it didn’t work, open guard didn’t work, however half guard just seems natural to me.

      I understand what you mean. Half guard techniques have always worked well for me and it is a position that I would spend a lot of my time in. Having said that, open guard and full closed guard do still work. Each position and guard take time to master. I can play closed guard a little, and it is not one of my strengths, but I know that closed guard still works because of people like Kron Gracie, Ryron and Rener Gracie, Rudson Mateus, and Roger Gracie.

      A little late, have literally had the exact opposite experience lol. Cannot stand half guard, way more of an open guard/closed guy. But half guard is arguably the most important guard to be skilled in, so here I am 😂
