Was just working on Ted today... The eye opening plunger broke. I couldn't remember how I did it last time (been a few years) but I did remember doing it from the top. I watched this to remind me what I'd have to do to drop the head... then it hit me. The only time you'd really have to drop the head is for replacing the solenoids... everything else can be done from the top. The support beam that holds the eyelid release plunger in place just has to be loosened. Remove all three of its screws on the right and the top on of the left.. then it'll fold down and you can replace everything from the top. Getting eyelids back on is a bit of a pain, but you can get the angle juuuuust right to fit them back on plunger. After the eyelids and eyes are back in place, just put the screws back and you're good to go. It's tedious... but it beats dropping the head.
I need to leave myself a note in his helmet to remind myself for the next time one of those plungers breaks.

I know them as E-Clips or Jesus clips since you swear when they fly away. When there is room (I know you didn't have it) I usually cup my hand around the side of the e-clip. That way if it does fly out, at least it will hit my hand.

I can usually tug them out with pliers. That particular one I couldn't get a grip on it.
It's in there somewhere. It will show up sometime in the future. Probably in the lower back of the machine next time I move it. That's where I get all my e-clips and extra screws from.

@@SevensPinballorama Maybe double check the speaker. It might have stuck on the side of the magnet or somewhere in the speaker (like under the magnet).
