    I like that you are showing your own schemes. Fun to see the process

    The ankle wraps (9:48) are called "puttees". Normally when I think of the Death Korps it's primarily greys and blues, but this scheme is really making me rethink that. That Gore-grunta fur on the leather looks amazing!

    FINALLY... I have checked youtube like ten times today waiting to shamelessly steal your paint scheme and I cannot wait to watch this on my lunch break! Incredible job as always. Love the scheme. Love your work. Love how infectious your excitement is for these new models.

    You couldn't remember the name of the leg wraps either (and mentioned it) last time you did the Krieg :)

    These vids are always so great!!! I especially love the copyright free music that you have going on in the background! I am so glad it doesn't interfere with my ability to watch this video and paint while doing so! I think it's great that the song "Stop Complaining" by my favorite band "You Aren't My Real Dad" came on! Also, the part that punches the firing pin into the primer of the round casing is called the hammer. You once told a story about a ban hammer. Non music lovers love ban hammers!

    I have an issue with the music at the beginning of this video..... I can't stop banging my head with the music and painting at the same time..... Awesome video by the way!!!!!😅

    This scheme looks great. When i get around to mine, i still want to do a cool grey and blue to contrast with warm browns on the mud/boards on the bases.

    Could you if possible show how to paint the death rider horses in brown instead of the white, that is the only difference i would like a tutorial for, i would at least really appriciate it

      It might be a mislabelling in the new codex or I can’t read but one of the pictures of the brown regiment says 143rd Siege Regiment!

    • @ROEstZwIebELNASCHER
      @ROEstZwIebELNASCHER 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@Warhipster that would be a weird change so I guess mislabel? In the old Vraks books the 143rd used to be the blue-grey ones, while yours look perfect to represent the 19th or 261st!

    • @Aatuss
      @Aatuss 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      @ I think they have mislabeled it. Unless there is some sort of recent lore change which explains the change in their color

    One thing I’ve found in the one month I’ve spent getting into miniature painting is that contrast paints are the way to go. I’ve spent so many hours trying to add the level of detail that contrast paints do with base paints and I’m still no where near the level of this

    They look great! Is the armor really just Cygor Brown? Or did you wind up doing any layering on it. In the final project they look almost black with brown tinting closer to the edges or is that just the effect of Cygor Brown over grey seer?

    • @Warhipster
      @Warhipster  13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      That’s pretty much just the effect of Cygor Brown over Grey Seer. It’s a really cold dark brown. It’s got more red in it if you do it over wraith one

    • @GalacticBrew
      @GalacticBrew 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@Warhipster Thank you for the response. I am currently batch painting a lot of Cadians with WW1 Brodie head swaps and my scheme is similar to yours. I was having trouble with the armor because I didn't want it black. I wanted it a dark gray/brown. Your result is very close to what I wanted.

    It would be interesting to see the difference in outcomes if the minis had grey primer with white dry brush, or zenethal base.
