Here is a roster Dion: DT: Calija Kancey, McNeil, Onwuzunike (spell?), B.Jones, Buggs. DT/Edge: Cominsky, Pascal. Edge: Aidan, Houston, Harris and cut all the rest. LB A.A., Malcolm, Barnes and a draft pick. S: Kirby, Elliott, Iffy, Moore, Walker. CB: Hughes, Okuda, Jacobs, Harris, Lucas and a draft pick or two. O-line: Decker, Jones, Rag, Sewell, E.Brown and a draft pick or two (big OT to switch at guard for the moment and also sub for T). QB Goff, that guy we had in the practice squad and ended up with Tennessee. HB: Jamaal, Swift, J.Jefferson, and SEAN TUCKER (pick). TE: Mitchell, Wright, Zylstra. WR: Amon-Ra, Williams, Raymond, Reynolds, Cephus and a free agent or a pick (ok of they sign Chark but can't stay on the field...) K: Badgley P: Fox and plus those good ST players Lions need. What do you say?
If you're going Christian Gonzalez you need to trade back. If you trade back to 9 or so it's likely Witherspoon is gone but one of Porter or Gonzalez will be there
His frame Is fine mr. Dion! 6 feet 280!!! What do you need to fill? Bresee is only 20# heavier but he Is half a foot taller! And has only a shadow of his quickness, explosiveness and effectiveness!
Have you heard that Calvin Johnson is about to get paid and become part of the Lions organization. Also we are going after Saquon Barkley? Graham Glasgow makes sense if he is still available.
20:17 Will Harris is that player who is more valuable to the Lions than he would be to other teams. He’s a key right now. He’s growing with this squad and he can’t be gone.
I like Kancey and Pickens. Thats a nnice duo right there. I just like Witherspoon over Gonzalez but I like it!!! I really like Owen Pappoe out of Auburn. I had read that he ran a 4.4 40 and had a 40" vertical. He was a 5 star and hes got burst and big hit ability. I really like him at lb
Everyone realizes DOD should be employed by the Lions right? In some capacity. I been saying this for a year now. So, let’s see. The dude is special. He has something that we don’t normally see from just a fan and TH-camr. He’s different and you all know what I’m saying too.
Dion, how are you going to talk about Justin Jackson without mentioning his special teams Coverage ability? He's not only a good returner, but is a GREAT tackler with a nose for the ball. He made so many huge stops on ST this year. I love #42 for that.
Lost me in round two but nice vid. Sydney reminds me of a Troy P. lite playstyle. He's a bit under sized and there are quite a few safeties around his level. Could take one with our 3rd rounder.
Great video, love the Kancey pick. The UDFA was better than your mock imo but you went with who you love so can't blame you. Also would've brought back Buggs on a cheap deal.
Devon Witherspoon had 3 INT's, allowed 0 TD's, only allowed 1 yard in 113 press snaps, and was graded the best coverage corner in college. I'm taking Witherspoon at 6.
Who needs Brad Holmes when you have Dose of Dion. Fantastic mock offseason, every choice makes sense and is reasonable/realistic and work together. Curious to see how many decisions you got right. Keep up the amazing work Dose!
I think you did a nice job with signing the current Lions restricted and free agent players. The money given in the signings was well thought out. I liked 3 of your selections in your mock draft, Gonzales, Tippman and Sanders were all good values at positions of need. I strongly disliked your moving up and selecting Cancey with the 18th. pick. Even if you had stayed at 18th. pick and taken Clancy it would have been a terrible pick. The Lions do not need a midget defensive tackle. If anything the Lions need a big run stuffing tackle which they can get later in the draft. The Lions would be much wiser trading down with both of their first round picks. Also the pick of Brown in the middle of the second round was a big reach.
Hot Take I think Big V could be a player that takes a pay cut and has a contract that makes him a free agent next year instead of a straight up cutting of him
Mr. Dion. I just went to your Patreon account to reactivate my support and found myself faced with a Matt Patricia and Matthew Stafford banner screen. I managed to complete the project anyway but puhleeeze update that banner. 😏 🦁🏈
Love the bill belichick just gonna take players i love over where they might be projected. Wont go into mine yet as things will def change , but I do like Jack Campbell at LB in late 2nd he's Malcolm a LB a LB a LB and you might say he won't be good against the pass because of some limiting athleticism but BS he will make plays in Defending to he pass. BTW DT will fall look at last year I already see Bresse falling in to 2nd rd. Think should save a 5 the rd pick to roll the dice on Stetson. Go Lions!
More 1 year prove it deals, trade up in the draft for a ? (nice work Dion, hope we go a different route). I think Brad was limited in his first few seasons and expect change, its the only thing you can always rely on.
Kancey and Mitchell are two of my "pet picks" as well. Love both of those guys. Mitchell struggles getting through first contact if it is solid but, he's so small and quick it seems difficult to make solid contact with him. And when he hits the edge, good God can he turn it on.
Romeo, if he gets released, will likely be designated as a post June 1 cut, since it would save the team $11 million after June 1 as opposed to pre June 1. Also, I would see the Lions choosing to cut Charles Harris instead and see if they can restructure Romeo. He showed more at the end of the season than Harris did all season. I like the restructure of Ragnow. I also think the Lions try to resign Buggs in addition to Cominsky. Buggs was pretty solid, and shouldn't be too costly to bring back. Stenberg and Cephus are good cuts. Consider the release of Jason Cabinda as well. Saves $2 million and he barely sees the field. I think the Lions will make an effort to bring back Deshon Elliot, since they really don't know how well Walker will be coming back from his Achille's injury and Ifeatu Melifonwu doesn't seem to be advancing in his development as much as they'd like him to. Another big question facing the Lions: what to do about Levi Onwuzurike? Is he going to be healthy or are his back issues chronic and will continue to plague him? If it's the latter, they need to cut him and find a replacement.
Great video. I love that mock draft. That would be a dream, although I don't think there's a world where you get Drew Sanders that late. I also think it would be a shame not to keep Big V, Romeo and Cephus. I think they are too good not to let them compete 1 more year at least, but it could make sense to cut ties.
Arizona is the lions trade partner here's the scenario lions trade six and next years 1st and 55th for AZ 1st and 2nd round pick this year. Next years 1st will be high 20s possibly 31 0r 32.. With the 3rd pick they grab Tyree Wilson. 18 that guard from Florida.
@@m.jackson2380 it's trade places this year with a second (55) and nexts years first. if you do the value of the picks it comes out equal the lions get a starting defensive lineman day one plus Arizona second pick is 35 three out of the first round this year so it's almost 3 1st round picks. The following year the lions will have to start resigning the draft class of Brad holmes. James houston contract expires this year as jonah Jackson and okuda. the following year amon, sewell, mcneil, and Barnes will be in there 4th year going to take alot of money to keep these players. By not having a 1st round pick in year 2024 saves alot of money to pass around. That's why they need that guard from Florida. They kept lucas off the practice squad because he is going to be good
Drew Sanders is the 6th highest player on the draft n combine grade site. So best LB he not making it to 100 that's why I trade back get value n take him at like 24
Just to confirm, I didn't miss anything-- does this mean we're not resigning Isaiah Buggs and Deshon Elliot? Seems tough. I really do want Chark back tho
For qb there are a lot of backups we could pursue like P.J. Walker, or Matt Corral, Heinecke, Wentz, Minshew, Rosen, etc. There are alot of capable back ups we could get for cheap instead of wasting a pick on one, unless its a late round pick and focus more on real needs like defense
Heinecke likely won't come cheap, a lot of people are high on him. Having Carson Wentz backing up Jared Goff seems too surreal, lol. How awesome would it be to grab Uncle Rico, though? If he brings his nephew Napoleon we have a real party on our hands..
Its so nice to just trust brad holmes to do a better job than you could. Is he going to bat 1.000? Of course not. But I can not wait to see how stacked this lions roster will be come week 1. Brads going to add 5 maybe even 10 STUDS.
I'll give you a break on this one since it's your 1st mock and free agent video but I don't like it at all. Holmes will make at least 1 or maybe 2 "splash " signing, 1 on the dline and 1 in the secondary. Chark is not re-signing back with us, I see the bears paying him big money and why bring him back anyways??use that money on the defense. Keep up the great work Dose
Naw sorry not sorry I'm not waiting for a guy with a bad back to get better sorry I'll take dexter n if levi gets better cool we mix up n rotate but not drafting a starting DT cuzz we wanna wait n give a guy whos injured a chance sorry we ain't them.lions levi can be depth....this ain't flag football yet toughin up this is a business not a back yard BBQ with ya buddys..this ain't budy buddy pall with Patty n Bobby no more. We're not waiting to get better we'll we wait on a injured dude. Better to have a to many starters at high quality then skipping n not having what we need! All love dose good video like always
Dose I love you bro but that draft ain’t it sanders is a round one or two guy we don’t need safety unless it’s a corner safety hybrid I think you could’ve got a better guard like Avila or moch
Lowkey that pff mock draft simulator is wack. Ive been doing a lot of simulations and theres times devon witherspoon goes 1, every single time i can pick trenton simpson in the 2nd and noah sewell in the 4th
Dose plz stop with the will Harris lol We cann free up so much with dropping dead weight players for real secondary studs! For real it took him 3 yrs to be poductive. Com'on MAN lol
I’m sorry man but I personally HATE ur free agency. Other than kicker where did we truly UPGRADE, bringing back guys like anzalone and will Harris is being content with below average/inconsistent play. U need to UPGRADE to take the next step, I feel like ur too emotional with how u pick guys cause u like them. 🤦🏻♂️
No one does mock offseason for the lions like you do. I love it
Big facts. From the mackinaw area. This is the best place to go as a northern michigander
Please do a video on Kancey

Can believe the effort you putting into these videos and analysis before hand,..
I love how u put a lot of effort into these kinds of videos. THANK YOU 🔥🔥🔥
Took me awhile to finish this video but loved it. Thanks Dion for all the hard work!
If you're going Christian Gonzalez you need to trade back. If you trade back to 9 or so it's likely Witherspoon is gone but one of Porter or Gonzalez will be there
Drew Sanders was used as a pass rusher at Bama. He was an edge. Didn’t play MLB until he transferred to Arkansas
His frame Is fine mr. Dion! 6 feet 280!!! What do you need to fill? Bresee is only 20# heavier but he Is half a foot taller! And has only a shadow of his quickness, explosiveness and effectiveness!
Baby Wagner & Maxx. CRossby 2 the Lions!
Great stuff man! I really enjoyed this one! I love that you do the research, have your own point of view, and stick to it.
I liked your Tippmann and Sanders picks.
Was already concearned, since your last video was some time ago. But man the is the big one! Thx Dose!
Keep the great work my man

Calija Is no risk, I would take him at six if Seattle doesn't take it off our plate. Bresee? Nuuuu thank you. We need the new John Randle.
Everyone realizes DOD should be employed by the Lions right? In some capacity. I been saying this for a year now. So, let’s see.

I could feel the pain you felt when cutting Cepheus when I know he was your boy. He was my boy too but damn.. wish he just stayed healthy.
“He’s like super thicc in the lower body”- doseofdion, 2023
Bro was wild for that lol
Devon Witherspoon had 3 INT's, allowed 0 TD's, only allowed 1 yard in 113 press snaps, and was graded the best coverage corner in college. I'm taking Witherspoon at 6.

His free agency was bad 😂 we didn’t upgrade anywhere he’s too emotional smh he doesn’t go off pure logic
Will Harris graded out our best corner in the 2022-2023 season.
Let go dose
I’m sure you meant “let’s go” but the idea of just telling him to let go made me laugh
I love the kancey pick. I want detroit to grab this guy so bad..This dude is a disruptor
Cominski is a must
#16. I see your Jersey. He is the boss now love #9 but we good ya. We good boys
Dose, I waited until pick 81 and was able to grab Sydney brown still. Using pff. And I took Guard Steve Avila from TCU at 48

Is Kancey from Pitt worth looking at, or is he a glorified linebacker trying to play DT? Is he a fit?

Why not lb at 55
Bryan Bresee

Too much woodward not enough dose
Is this an hour?? Let’s go
There's no way that Chark is worth $10 million! If he wants to resign, make it 3 year @ $20 mill.
i fear for the possibility that tracy could look bad next year after an achilles. that happened to romeo
Dose I love you bro but that draft ain’t it sanders is a round one or two guy we don’t need safety unless it’s a corner safety hybrid I think you could’ve got a better guard like Avila or moch

Love your video and the work you put in. But your trades would never work for the other team
Lost me at the first pick
Some of those cuts should be better as a post june 1 cut
Romeo and Big V, less dead money and more savings if post-june 1 designation
This is super unrealistic
Dose plz stop with the will Harris lol We cann free up so much with dropping dead weight players for real secondary studs! For real it took him 3 yrs to be poductive. Com'on MAN lol
