Thank you for this video. I used to string beads as a kid, it was a fashion statement back in the days. Now, that I am 73 years of age, I would like to start again, but was afraid my elastic would break. Thanks to you I can start making bracelets again!

You probably just saved me a lot of embarrassment. I've always been skeptical about stretch bracelets and now I realize the mistakes I've been making. I haven't had any disasters yet, but I was about to release a large new line and they almost certainly wouldn't have lasted long. Thank you!

Hi Kat!! This is the best video on stretch bracelets that I have ever seen! I shy away from these bracelets cuz 1 time my customer tried hers on and it broke but it was a very very old elasticity so I assume that is why it broke! I especially love your doubling of the cord! I myself have elonga in colors and in black and white.8mm close enough to yours! I really really appreciate your time and sharing your tips and tricks with us! This has helped me out tremendously as I’m now going to make a holiday stretch bracelet!! Many hugs 🤗🤗🎄🤗and many thanks 😊 from Melissa aka Made With Love 💜By:Mel from South Florida!!

Thanks so much, my bracelets kept coming apart and I couldnt figure out what I was doing wrong, but I guess it might be the glue or how long I let it dry for, I am guessing the later was my problem. I appreciate it so much for taking away my stress. I have 34 to make so I want to make sure it is secure before I give them out. Blessings

This is the best bracelet video I've seen! My daughter found my beads and make several bracelets, I broke mine within 2 days :( I thought it was the knot that I'd done, watching videos.... but the single elastic broke. I bought the 0.5mm elastic over 10 years ago, I don't know if it weakens over time (I have loads!!). But the idea of double stringing is great. She'll be selling some bracelets for fundraising, so I don't want them to break. Thanks for really useful video!

I like this better then double looping it I notice the fibers started to thin the way I did it it’s similar to this but as I string I have the double thread already but at end using the loop inbetwen and tying each end there is small section where the fiber is thinner. n it it started to shreds rip tare

I've been making bracelets like these with lava and wood beads for essential oils. My older son's keeps breaking and now I suspect it's the oils that eat through the opalon...? How do you recommend making these type of bracelets then? We see them for sale all over!

Some bracelets I have that are stretched out are strung on a more stretchy true elastic fabric type cord. Where do you buy that? Not this plastic fish wire. Bracelets are old Lia Sophia that have lost all their stretch. Thx.

There is no way I can get a knot that big to disappear into 8mm gem stone beads. I’ve tried just doing the regular knot with the surgeons knot. The only way I’ve found is to use one spacer bead that has a larger hole. Have you used gemstone beads and been successful? Please if you have a way that works for those I would love to know. Thankyou for the video. It probably works very well for wood beads, or large beads with holes that are larger than 1mm.
