The suspicion right now is the R9 will be taking over the R1's position as yamaha is slowly discontinuing/phasing the R1 out of markets. I pray that isn't the case because nothing will match how the CP4's handles.
@@PerciusLive idk is a 200hp Superbike needed on the street? Cause Yamaha still makes the R6 but only for track use and i get why. You see not a lot of people have the skills nor the money to get on
@@5.7_moto i hope so, cause i bought myself a CBR650R and i wanna ride it for +5 years and then buy a cheaper used R9. Thats roughly my plan hahah

Don’t live in California anymore 😭
You should make another video in Downtown Long Beach for the Long Beach Grand Prix. The city track barriers are up and would be cool to see on a full throttle run in an “open city course”
Any 2 cylinder will have better torque and will honestly be a better street bike. 4 cylinder 600’s are for tracks or riding slow in low gears on the street, but people can’t accept that. If you ain’t a track boy 650/R7 is a better ride, period. If you do own a 600 then you should own another bike for the street. Track ergos don’t translate well to daily driver.
At first I thought the r7 was gona be like the gsxr 750. Then realized it’s basically a quicker r3 and got disappointed ☹️
At first I thought the same but It’s more of a ninja 650 competitor and if you look at it that way it really dominates its class. Hopefully the r9 comes out to fill the gap that the r6 left tho
Sport bikes aren't used to race from a dead stop. That darn r7 sounds like a trail bike 😂
Good thing it turns too 😭 ride ur own ride bro stop being a hater
@5.7_moto 🤣 I didn't say I don't like the R7 I think they are dope they just sound like My dirtbike. Enjoy brother
My mt07 takes my friends Aprilia race bike untill about 60mph after that the mt07 motor is like a corrola racing a ferrari on the highway.. even cars with close to 400hp will walk my bike from a 60 roll
Yeah, the MT07 struggles once you start getting to higher speeds. I have the Benelli Leoncino 500 and my buddy has an MT07, in terms of speed up top our bikes aren’t super different, he pulls on me but not as fast as you’d think. He’s quite a bit quicker off the line though, has a hard time keeping the front wheel down to lol.

From what i seen before The r6 and mt09 are side by side all the way from 0-155 mph so the r9 is definitely gotta be the gsxr 750 of yamaha

Have you ever even ridden an mt09 ?
@@maxdavidson6255this dimwit doesn’t know what tf he’s talking about. 🤣 Don’t bother with him. Clearly this moron doesn’t know what marketing is and what Yamaha is doing big picture wise. And I’m not here to explain it to him.
It will be the same like r7-mt07
It has a 117hp, 69lb-ft torque triple, with a 10k RPM redline. I3 sport bikes are few and far between on the market, last I knew of was the Triumph Daytona I think.
I should add that's better performance than the 2020 R6
The final year of the R6 had 117hp (identical) and 46lb-ft of torque (compared to 69lb-ft)
All of that identical power on the R6 was trapped at the top end as well
So an MT-09 powered R9 would gap an R6 with ease because it would have similar power figures that it could have access to through the entire rev range in every single gear
R6 would destroy it, it's not even a contest.
wrong, r6 only wakes up at 10k rpm
@antoniobaak146 Wrong, R6 starts pulling from 8k and it just gets stronger from there. Try riding one someday keyboard warrior 🤣
Respect💪🏾😂
I was thinking about getting an R6 rather than R7 in couple years even tho it's no longer produced, I just can't help it, I fell in love with it, maybe your brother or you can help of what should I know about it?
Go with whatever you like more and don’t kill yourself. the r6 will get less hate lmao, r7 is basically a ninja 650 with good suspension, it’s a good beginner bike but gets gapped by most cars on the freeway. Cool thing about the r7 is you can buy it and take it straight to the track, even comes with good tires
@@5.7_moto wait really? so you don't usually can put the R6 to the track straight away? and them tires too, they don't give u a nice pair for the R6? also tbh I'd just go with the R6, I just love the way it scream. Oh and since the R6 is discontinued, do I have to look for a used bike or is it still possible to get them on the retail?
@@ebrilliantuwaahhh R6 a way better track bike then then R7. The R7 is good for the track out of the box, but so is the R6. R6 is all about high RPM riding, R7 is more of a lazy riding style, you have low redline and big torque down low. If you like the supersport feeling, it's not even close, R6.
🎉🎉
Once you've been on the track with an R6 you'll see why it doesn't run so well in traffic
You might need a little ani-wheelie
Not a surprise at all.

There’s a lot of children arguing the power of these bikes in these comments. I didn’t know everyone here was a well experienced 1000cc bike owner.
