I have been to Boracay 2 times. 1st in 2005 and again in 2011. It’s a beautiful place that I believe has been over built. The need for swimming pools with the beauty of the natural ocean doesn’t make sense. In 2011 I stayed at the Pink Patio Resort and it was slightly off the White Beach. It was quiet , clean and well managed. The commercialization of the island seems wrong. Glad to see they have recovered from the time of Covid, and the tourists returned in droves. I’m glad I went when I did. It was the highlight of all my travels.
@@darrylcolley5660 Hi Darryl ! You are right , it is a little over built and unfortunately some tourists prefer the swimming pool rather than the natural waters . I honestly consider they are missing the point . Overall , the island changed for the better in my opinion,and prices are way lower than I was expecting for a very popular destination like this.
