Distance-Time and Speed-Time Graphs - A Level Physics

- This video introduces and explains both distance-time graphs and speed-time graphs for A Level Physics.
Distance-time and speed-time graphs are ways of how we can visualise the motion of an object. The gradient of a distance-time graph is equal to the instantaneous speed of the object at that point.

im finding myself confused since there seems to be contradictory information on the web and im hoping you could clear up any misconceptions you may think i have on the subject.
if i ask google to define distance, it tells me that it is the space between two points which sounds as though it means the length of a straight line between the points. your definition appears to be different although i imagine that i am misunderstanding something.

+Alex Sampsonite In terms of the 'proper' physics definitions, the length directly between two points should be called the displacement (although in everyday life people often refer to this as 'distance').

This is a great video but u made a mistake with the speed time graph when u converted it from the distance. A vertical line suggests the gradient is infinite which is incorrect as the gradient of a speed time graph is the distance - so distance can't be infinite if u don't move - u should've used dotted lines instead :/
