It's deeper than this and we need to address the crisis of the Black family structure which has spiraled downward. Lack of marriage, baby daddies and mommas, fatherless broken homes. The foundation has to be set forth to build strong societies. All other cultures understand this. Stable family structure contributes to increased generational wealth building.
Families can change these dynamics within their families by changing expectations and by explaining what the goals are so they buy into the vision. In one generation, we were able to eradicate teenage pregnancy and set expectations for them to either pursue entrepreneurship, higher education, or trade school, all with the intention to work for themselves. We contribute to those who want to buy homes. This has led to homeownership for a few who are not yet 30. These are just some of the things we have done, and it's working. If more families do this, we can change the trajectory of our people

For those who look to the comments for a laugh, or verify some info claimed on the episode this is for you. The house the old lady refused to sell was in Seattle, however, she was NOT Black; she was a white 87 years old lady named Edith Macefield. She had no children to leave the house to. She refused to sell it because she wanted to die in the home she owned for 50+ years. She ultimately willed her home to the construction supervisor of the Mall that was built around her home. She was offered 1 mil in 2007, she died in 2008. Oddly many people believe the Pixar movie Up (which came out in 2009)is about this woman and home but Pixar claim it’s not.

Dr Umar Johnson if we blacks ask the government for land that belongs to the Native Indian. We aren't better white man. We black should ask Africa to let blacks around the world to buy land with resources. So we blacks control trading business in the world. So Africa can build connection and wealth with their brothers and sisters. Back the to question black shouldn't ask the white man for Native Indians land. In the white man can use this against us. What makes you different for us. We black are talking about colonialism in Africa and white and Chinese taking land. In History the other races can't say we black didn't business with Native Indians the true land owners of this country.
