It's funny because as a pale person, sometimes the lightest shade is still too dark. The Morphe foundation range is the ONLY one I've seen that has a foundation LIGHTER than my skin - it looks light enough to be for an albino person (which is cool). So it's frustrating that they tried to be all invlusive but didn't work all that hard on the other end of the spectrum???

    • @samanthaweiss867

Same! I always have to use the lightest shade in a range and it's never light enough. I would try the morphe foundation, but my skin is very dry so matte is a no-go. I'm so saddened by the fact that there are no proper shades for Nyma and other women with her skin tone ☹️.

here’s the thing. you can make anything work. you are so talented and you, like many other poc, are trained to learn how to correct when there arent shades for them. but you shouldnt have to. you shouldnt have to settle with so many brands because all of the undertones are gray. its unfair and brands need to work harder to meet their demographic. you shouldnt be an afterthought or something brands pander towards or throw a few shades at and call it a day. obviously there are worse perpetrators than morphe, but every time i watch one of your foundation reviews i think the same thing. they should be working harder, not you.

I, myself am extremely pale and I struggle to find foundations and concealers, but it is not impossible. It's clear that there is a lot less out there for darker skin tones. I would be so interested to see a video where you apply makeup side by side next to a woman closer to my skin tone (like porcelain) so we can get an idea of the shade ranges that should be put out. PS: there's a makeup brand that's sold in Walgreens and CVS meant exclusively for women of color and I've seen some very dark makeup that would probably work for you. It's called "black radiance". @@emilyrosales0709 I know exactly what you mean, I'm also Mexican, however, most Mexicans are people of color even though there are a few, full white Mexicans.
I really didn't want to be rude but you didn't consider yourself a person of color because you aren't black, and you're not, but you are a person of color, just like me and so many Mexicans, Latinos, etc. We aren't taking away from anyone because our ancestors were also colonized, enslaved, murdered, raped and discriminated against. I know people are really sensitive with such discussions, but let us not forget, we may not have as much melanin as African descendants, but we are also people of color.

I'm not dark skinned, but I was so excited to come across your channel. I work on models of all colors and it's rare to find makeup that works well on poc with darker skin. I use RCMA foundation and though some of their shades are pretty dark, I do sometimes need to mix in their black foundation adjuster to contour on really deep skin tones. It's so great to learn about the products that you use regularly, and which new products work for you. So thanks for doing all these reviews girl, you're fucking gorgeous!!!

As a pale as hell girl they didn't serve us either. I really don't get these brands, you aren't serving the palest cool toned demographic, you aren't serving the gorgeous deep girls (grey is not ok!), what the hell are you doing? Too Faced foundations are all SO warm toned, MAC overcharges (here in Australia) and I have better luck at the drugstore in DUBAI than I do here in Australia since we get reduced range releases here.

I know this sounds odd but Dutch processed tends to have more red tones than typical baking cocoa.
I praise your commitment and feel absolutely horrible this is how uninclusive makeup is.
If you're using zinc oxide for coverage instead of UV protection, TKB Trading has a decent amount of natural clays that offer coverage and adhesion. They have several brown shades so you wouldn't need to worry about ashiness from the zinc oxide.
