    As a classically trained percussionist I am super excited to start working with this library. Thank u for including all the various articulations. It all sounds amazing. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    I adore the fact that you can Mod Wheel the Cymbals. That's awesome!! No more having to manually re-time your cymbal samples again and again until you get it right.
    Very well done Spitfire. Once I save up enough, I'll definitely be buying this as my next orchestral purchase.

    I have been agonising over this library for weeks. Each time a new video is released covering a different orchestra section I get an almost unstoppable urge to pre-order. Spitfire must be sick of me putting this library in my shopping cart then choosing not to press the buy button! This percussion video is the tipping point. Such a wonderful sounding, versatile and comprehensive library. The only thing stopping me each time was the knowledge that I have a number of orchestral libraries already, so surely I can do without this one. Yes, I can, but when I consider the content here on offer and the introductory price then it really is a no brainer : For the price of a poorly specified consumer synth I can get - let’s face it - the only orchestral library I will ever need. Just a few years ago you would expect to pay thousands for a library like this. So thank you Spitfire for the gift that is this library, but it will be the last one I ever purchase from you. I will not need anything else. Ever again. Honest!

      Haha. I first bought Abbey Road along with all the mods but soon realized I needed a more serious composing tool. (Abbey is phenomenal for pre-orchestrated mock ups like Albion). I just bought this during the spring sale for 40% off. For value? It's the best out there. You've got the entire orchestra plus solo instruments. Yeah, others like Berlin may have an edge when it comes to some articulations, but the cost is way too prohibitive. The tipping point for me was listening to lots of BBC Pro recordings of actual pieces here on YT. It's a great tool.

    From an Orchestral Percussionist, you might want to look at different mallets for the Xylo, Marimba and Glock next time? Becker Blue mallets sound totally different from the Whites on Xylophone and Glock, one has a softer tone, the other harder, and different kinds of thread size, density of the winding and mallet head size will sound different on Marimba. LOVE this Library though, keep up the good work!

    Great Walkthrough. It sounded like you were about to go into the A team theme tune at the end there. Paul would have to be 'BA'. Louis can be' Murdoch'. Homay can be 'Triple A'. Oliver would have to be 'Face'. Christian would then have to be 'Hannibal' with the cigar. "I love it when a plan comes together". I would love to see that trailer!

    To be completely honest, the thing that puts me off buying pro instead of core is not so much the price, but the mammoth-like size... I could never justify taking up that much space for one library. I wish they released a more storage-friendly version with more than just one mic position.

    I was waiting for the Timpani. I think it is the most hardest instrument to blend in an orchestral template. I own the best percussion libraries in the market, yet I still feel disappointed with every Timpani patch I get my hands on. Something in a live recording gives the Timpani a stronger presence and the rolls can cut through the entire orchestra easily. Not just the rolls, even the normal hits. They sound powerful, punchy and have a "roar" feel to it. I think it is hard to explain what I'm trying to say, but people who were able to record their music live will definitely know what I'm talking about.

    • @VFXCommander
      @VFXCommander 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@thursday3115 Based on the demos I've heard, they might have actually did it. I guess the trick was to record the Timpani at the same settings with the rest of the orchestra. I really liked their new idea where they keep the mics open in order to capture a cohesive sound like if they were all in the same room (which they actually are!). Still... It is too soon to judge. I would wait for this library to get released first and see other reviewers what they have to say about it.

    • @PierceHMusic

    2) significant load time & ram usage

      I disagree. Not everyone will like the tree mic sounds they're demoing, and here Paul is demonstrating one or two alternative he thinks are worth noting. He didn't go through every single one.
      On top of that, all of the bleed mics presented something new to the library world.
