This is very similar to what we do at my speech and debate club except 1 you go in whenever the posting says you should and what time to speak and also you only get one small notecard but you get to have it in a speech. Everything else is pretty much the same
It really helped me since I will be having an extemp speech tomorrow but the problem is I'm only given 3-5 minutes to prepare my speech and that's a very short time. Any advice?
america is so damn corporate i hate the quality of people's voices when they start doing speeches, so robotic and superficially matter-of-fact, it's borderline condescending, and cringy
That's not an American thing lol. I think a lot of British and Australian speeches sound robotic but that's probably just because of the accent. I figure that's why you might think American speeches are cringy.

I think some of these people are confusing extemporaneous with impromptu, which is only one minute.
Squidward Tortellini Tentacles my speech and debate give us two minutes but it’s only a 5 minute speech

Write now I'm in the category of impromptu and some one had recommended I try Extemp. After watching this I think it wouldn't be to bad too try!

I use sticky notes on a piece a paper so its clean and cut

That is the impromptu speech event. To help you out, I suggest searching up sample impromptu prompts and practicing using those over and over again.
