I have a Palestinian friend who took a DNA test, he was 80% Canaanite and 15% Greek/Italian, his family lived in the area for thousands of years according to his family, he even said they had Jewish ancestors once. His family was expelled and went to Jordan when Israel was created. This was a Native who has more Canaanite ancestors than many Israelis.

@@inagordan4589 Most Palestinians have ancestors who were Jewish or Samaritans two thousand years ago, who were forced to convert or converted willingly to Christianity first, then Islam, a process that started after Jesus crucifixion. Obviously Palestinians have mixed with people who immigrated there thru several invasions, and waves of immigration. But Palestinians and Jews share the same DNA from ancient Canaanites, both are descendants of biblical Israelites. There is a significant genetic and historical evidence that proves this.

Both Jews and Palestinians (as well as Samaritans) are the descendants of the Canaanites of the Southern Levant. But where Jews picked up other ancestries in the Diaspora, Palestinians picked up other ancestries from all the different folks who moved into the land after the Roman exile of Judeans - most notably the Arab conquests, which is seen in Palestinian Y-DNA.

Many Palestinians or let's say the real Palestinians are descendants of the anceint Canaanites just like the Lebanese. That explains why the Lebanese and Palestinians are genetically very close related. The Jews today are mostly descended from the ancient Jewish tribe of Judah and they are descendants of Isac son of prophet Abraham. Prophet Abraham was originally from mesopotamia so in ancient times the first ancestors of Jews were from mesopotamia.

All inhabitants of this land are a mixture of "indigenous" and foreign people who immigrated here at this point.
Many of the palestinians have families that migrated to this land from Syria, Egypt or Jordan 100 years ago or more, to find work.
This is why you can still find surnames like "AlMasri" ("The Egyptian") and so on, of families living in Gaza (or in the West Bank).
It's very rare (and possibly impossible) to find anyone who's a "direct descendant" of people who lived here 3000 years ago, if only because simple things like wars, famine, and search for work or resources made people move around the region (and the world) at various points in time.
So, even if you FIND someone who has a "direct line of descendece" to people who lived here 3000 years ago, their genetics are very likely ALSO intermingled with people from europe, turkey, mongolia, africa, etc.

The whole purpose of the video is to show their own opinion from their angle. For me as an Israeli, it was more interesting to watch this one than the Israeli because in this video you can see people actually understood the question and have a diversity of opinions on the topic, unlike the Israelis who hardly understood it and linked it only to what Judaism has to say on the subject. Nobody knew who the Canaanites were except a nation mentioned in the Bible and the average person from the street wouldn't know enough based on what they had learned in a Bible class somewhere in the past (except for the last couple). Here you have people mentioning their grandparents talking to them about it. Good video regardless 👍

Living Descendants of Biblical Canaanites Identified Via DNA
Genome sequenced from 3,700-year-old remains is found in today's residents of Lebanon."
"More than 90 percent of the genetic ancestry of modern Lebanese is derived from ancient Canaanites, according to a paper published today in the American Journal of Human Genetics.
Researchers supported by The Wellcome Trust were able to sequence the Canaanite genome from the remains of five individuals buried in the ancient port city of Sidon (modern Saïda, Lebanon) around 3,700 years ago. The results were compared against the DNA of 99 modern-day Lebanese residents.
According to the results, Canaanite ancestry is a mix of indigenous populations who settled the Levant (the region encompassing much of modern Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories) around 10,000 years ago, and migrants who arrived from the east between 6,600 and 3,550 years ago."
"No archaeological evidence for the widespread destruction of Canaanite settlements described in the Bible has yet been identified, and many scholars believe that the Israelites, who appear around the beginning of the Iron Age, may have originally been Canaanites.
      The "Tip of the Iceberg"
The new study is notable for its sequencing of the Canaanite genome. Obtaining ancient DNA (aDNA) from human remains found in the region is difficult, since heat and humidity are the "biggest enemies" of aDNA preservation, accordingto Marc Haber of The Wellcome Trust's Sanger Institute and a co-author of the paper. Many of the ancient samples tested came from sand-filled vessels near the sea shore at Sidon, a major Canaanite/Phoenician city-state that was eventually conquered by Alexander the Great in 332.
The research demonstrates that scientists have the ability to do interesting studies on aDNA from Lebanon and surrounding areas, says Sanger Institute co-author Chris Tyler-Smith. "This is only the tip of the iceberg," he adds. "We're looking forward to more samples from different places and different time periods."

@@tudormardare66 with respect sir, i'm familar with what is called The Orthodox Church. and i hope this does not offend you sir, but similar to the roman catholicism the orthodox church do practice The True Teachings of Jesus but rather the traditions of men and not GOD. firstly, baptism is the first step but not what is to be born again of THE MOST EXCELLENT SPIRIT OF GRACE. as Jesus HIMSELF said in John chapter 3 "verily, verily I tell you except a man be born of water (baptism) and THE SPIRIT he can not enter into The Kingdom of GOD" (John Chapter 3:5) so as you can see these are two different experiences and not one in the same and as a born again believer i can testify of my own experience that i was first baptised at age 20 and then a few years later born again. secondly, Jesus also says why to do The Communion and it is not in substitution of HIM but as written "do this is rememberance of ME" and Apostle later confirms this is what Jesus meant by the letter to the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 11: 26 it reads "for as often as eat this bread and drink this cup you are proclaming THE LORD'S death til HE comes". as you can see sir, its a proclamation til HE comes ie a memorial of HIM remembering what HE did for us ie "in remembrance of ME" but it did not say proclaming that HE IS come in the bread and wine as the roman catholics and eastern orthodox claim. and unfortunately this is just the tip of the iceberg with the eastern orthodox for, please i say this not to offend you but tell you the Truth as one who cares for your very soul, for what the eastern orthodox do is teach the traditions of men that make null and void ie deny The Commandments of GOD. but this is not The True Faith founded by Jesus and HIS 12 Disciples/Apostles nor is it roman catholicism The True faith but as HE HIMSELF said "where ever two or three are gathered in MY NAME there I AM in the midst of them" (Matthew 18:20) i truly believe it was THE LORD HIMSELF WHO drew me out from the traditions of men to bring to what it truly means to be born again and to walk in The True Faith but in my very limited often mistaken opinon do believe that it is certainly not roman catholicsm nor eastern orthodox. and may you two become truly born again and set free fromt the traditions of men that deny The Truth of GOD (found in The Bible) and to be certainly in The True Faith of CHRIST

The middle eastern people are mixed with Jew, israel, muslims, Palestinians which are Arabs by Ishmael tribe. They have different religions. America is mixed races, regions cults all over the states. God told Abraham there were Canaanites in the land he was giving him, so my understanding Palestinians Arabs. Israel is a nation not Jews. Many people practice Jewish faith but not born into it. People believe in region not Christian beliefs. There are so, many false ministers. It’s like the Covid people went for it scared with fear, some ended up dying. Will you know the real Christ? There again there will be false too. You better start with Genesis read, you can’t just read study it.

Some of the Arab Felaheen of this region do still continue some Levantine agricultural practises of the ancient world that the Jews of Israel preserved in Israelite sites like Sataf nature reserve, which showcases ancient Hebrew agriculture.
Also I found out that zuta levana (a local wild bush plant used as a tea herb) is called ashab a-shai by Arabs (literally "tea herb"), but local Bedouin tribes have preserved the Canaanite / ancient Hebrew name for this herb - qurniyya. That's Arabized form of the Hebrew "Qoranit" mentioned in our ancient texts.

If I know that my family is from here and not from anywhere else then if someone asks me if my ancestors were a civilization in the same place as I'm today my logical answer is "yeah, maybe. Why do Palestinians predominately refer to themselves as Arabic? Why do the leading palestinian families bear names pertaining to other nationalities (e.g. Al Kurdi, Othman, etc.). Why have all Palestinian national leaders come from other countries, not from Palestine or PA territory. Arafat was Egyptian, Abbas is Syrian. Ahmad Shukeiri was born in Lebanon.
In fact the only Palestinian leader born in something akin to Palestine, Amin Al Husseini, who was born in Jerusalem, opposed Palestinian nationality, arguing instead for arab nationality based on Southern Syria.
This has no bearing on how a two state solution should be resolved, but points to the massive commitment to misinformation on the part of the Palestinian leadership and disseminated through the education system.

It depends who you believe, religion or history and science. Either way both of them are clear on course of events and sometimes even match in their records. I'll share a mix of both. First, The Israelites came from the canaanites and shared the same DNA, the cannanites were not a unified group but separated tribes in a land they called then cannan. What turned out to be Israel later on was the separation of ideologies of and the creation of formed religion and political entity. Both of the Israelites and caananites which their ancestors were brothers lived together in the land during Noah's time after the great flood, when land was shared between the brothers Shem got Middle earth, Ham got Africa and Jaepth got Asia and Europe. The area of Israel was promised to Shem after Ham Cannan's son and line were cursed apparently. Yet Ham didn't accept it and kept residing in that area, fast forward in time the same thing happens after Abraham is told by God to return to the land, after he establishes control and makes that promise into reality history repeats itself between Jacob and Essu, Jacob was promised the land but was sent to Egypt instead, Essu did not accept it and stayed in the area. few generations later to Moses time, The Hebrews which were descendants of Jacob were *returning* to their given birthright from Egypt and were attacked by Amalek on the way (decsandants of Essu). Them and the residing canninate and Philistines (Descendants of Ham) did not accept the idea of God or religion and did not want a foreign group with new ideas to reside in their lands and so decided to fight. which we all know how that ended, later they were absorbed into Israel while some were killed, according to the Bible the Amalek and Philistines were wiped completely but it sounds impossible to me, since the Philistines obviously kept exiting in David's times. So at the end it's just an eternal brothers qurrales over a land. Today many other groups have DNA from the Levant but it dosen't make anyone else's claim based on DNA's purity. What does matter is who residing today in those lands when we all know better. Anyone who dosent choose to live in peace next to each other shouldn't be given a platform painfully simple in my opinion. Take everything I said for granted but you are welcome to challenge my thoughts.

whether you say the Cenanim were an Arab tribe or that the Arabs were a Cenani tribe, they're both not very accurate. I could conceive that you have Cenani ancestors who were Jewish (maybe with some "Greek genes" from the Seleucids) but were then forcefully converted to Islam by the Arabs who came and conquered the Land of Canaan. From there it would make sense that you would also have some Egyptian and Turk in you because of the Arabs and the Turks later on. But the idea that the Cenanim were native to the Arabian Peninsula and then migrated to Canaan seems unsound. The Cenanim if not indigenous came from modern Jordan, Akkad, Mesopotamia...

The answer is Yes. Palestinains are descendents of Canaanites. But Canaanites were among themselves a diverse group. national geographic says this about the Canaanites: Archaeologists, however, identify the Canaanites as a collection of tribes of varying ethnicities that appears in the Levant around the beginning of the second millennia B.C. Over the centuries, they were at various times independent city-states or client states under Egyptian control, and their presence is recorded in letters from Bronze Age rulers in Egypt, Anatolia, Babylon, and elsewhere in the region.

the Palestinians have nothing to do with the Canaanites. the Canaanites were 7 pagan tribes (Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Jebusites, Hivites, Perizzites, and Girgashites) that were driven out in a 200 years war started with Joshua and finished with king David that occurred 3000 years ago!
the Palestinians are mix immigrants since the early 18th century under the ottomans but mainly in the 20th century under British. demographics shows their majorities came from Arabia peninsula and Egypt. the rest from Syria Lebanon jordan iraq and north Africa. there are circassians and even some Druze that see themselves as "Palestinians" how that works??
their last names usually represent their origin like:
    halabi, hamati, hurani - syria
    al masri, masrwa - egypt
    karaki - jordan
    hinawi - oman
    mugrabi - morroco
    hejazi, a'aberia - saudi arabia
other names like mahamid (saudi) kwasme (iraq) karadja - a huge crime family in jaffa (libya) abu kishak (beduins from sinai) and many more.
not many know that in 1831 the Egyptian general ibrahim pasha brought in to eretz Israel 40k soldiers and falahs to fight the ottomans which he succeed temporarily. most of the Egyptians eventually settled down in Jaffa Gaza Ramla Ara'ara Haifa and other places. that event changed dramatically the demographics of the land
the Canaanite lie started 7 years ago when the former minister of propaganda in the PLO Saib Arikat implemented this lie in the children's school books in a childish attempt to fight the Jewish right - through the question who was here first. ask them if they speak the Canaanite language or know anything about any Canaanite tribe cultures. all they know is that Canaanites lived here because its written in the Torah.
even Fathi Hammad the minister of domestic affairs in Gaza for Hammas admitted the origin of the Palestinians is mainly Egyptian and Arabian:

Who was praying in all those old churches and mosques? Who was praying for centurues in Al Aqsa mosque ? Ghosts??! And how can u explain the unique dialect of the palestinians which is different compared to other dialects(syrian ,jordanian, egypt , lebanon)? When the arabs conquered palestine and north africa in the 7th century they didnt kill and replace the population living there. It's even impossible since the arab population was too small at that time to inhabit such large area. The palestinians have just become muslim and arabized but NOT replaced!!! The zionists lied about the fact that "Palestine is a land without people". Palestinians were real people, they have their unique culture , dialect and they existed since early ages.

LOL they have ”arab names”. Yes the palestinans are culturaly arab just like lebanese, Jordanian and syrians! Having a arab name doesnt mean anything take Bosnia for example a lot of people have have muslim names without having turkish ancestary for example muslimanovic or alihodic. A lot of people changed their names during the conversion. In central asia like in tadikizstan they ”russified” their names during the Sovietunion and they still have those names.
Some parts of lebanon, syria and palestine were all under the Canaaniten kingdom and they are the same people. Later under the roman rule they named that land Palestine. The fact tht you claim that the palestinans came in the 18th centuray is a joke. Do jews still think that the land was unhabitated after they left 3000 years ago just waiting for them? 🤣
The palestinans look levantine just like the palestinans jews that look palestinan. Now why do the askernazi jews have european names, why do the mizrahi jews have north african names? Things to maybe consider.

    • @MrZxcvbnm22
      @MrZxcvbnm22 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

" that were driven out in a 200 years war". Thats not how history works... You dont drive out people... Even jews, they were not driven out. There are jews that have never left Palestine. There are also jews that returned to their land (Palestine) centuries before the creation of the concept of "Jewish nation". So Palestinians (muslims, christians or jews) are just that, Palestinians. Descendants of the caananites or not, is not relevant. All we know is that Palestine is a region with distinct characteristics were (when under arab rule) people with three different religions have lived togather until modern europeans that were jealous of European artificial creations of "countries" wanted to create a modern concept of country on top of Palestine. A region uncompatible with that european country. Ashkenazis had the idea and the execution, then second class jews (mizrahis) built the country and palestinians lost all rights over their land.
The whole Israel-Palestine "conflict" it's not even complex. Its very simple, actually.
