You should start a professional course. You know how you explain things and you do it in a logical order. I love it.

Thanks for the excellent tutorial videos.
How did you find out that this board needs 12.6 volts instead of 12.3 on G3H?

I watched a lot of Louis Rossman's earlier work covering the pre-retina macbooks. I'm terribly out of date on modern macs though.

So would the corrosion be causing a short? I don’t get how cleaning it could reconnect corroded conections

i have an issue with a board like this: on U6100 i dont have power on pins 5 & 6 which are SPI_MLB_MOSI and SPI_MLB_CLK, i follow the trace unitl the chip, seems that is not sending power to the rail, btw the board turns on but it does not chime only fan is spinning at full speed.

What about the flux and boil process- and changing corroded components.
    Inspecting board pads and coperline.
    Finising of with ultrasonic cleaning.
    The error will come back.

Hi, thanks for the excellent video. Just a question about the power rails on the macbook pro logic board. When you get a green light on the charger it means that the board is in S5 (plugged to the charger but not powered on). In a functionnal S5 state which other rails can you measure (S3-S4-S0) with the multimeter ? Are theses rails, when the board is in S5 state, receive power and are in standby mode to be ready to boot the system when the power button is activated ? Hard to troubleshooting a board when you don't know if there should be voltage there or not.

So Far, I'm loving this. Will there be one for Desktop mainboards? I am here due to searching on how to repair my B450M DS3H V2. Perhaps another series on Desktops?

    • @Adamant_IT
      @Adamant_IT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I want to get into desktop mobo repair, but it's a different world to laptops. Tends to be more data/silicone issues because desktop mobos don't do power conversion, where as laptops are usually a power delivery issue.

Thank you for this video and
    also for the entire series.
I failed to notice what version of
    Macintosh Pro this particular
    presentation used in its example.
Is there any way you might be
able to post the type of device
being worked on, as far as the
    particular model of Mac Pro?
    Please keep up the fascinating
work, I am learning quite a bit
    from your concise manner of
    exposition. B'H.
